Are you planning to charge her visits with your credit card and want to get points?
First point - why is this a question for the “all things points” bowl?
Second point - Many daycares take babies as young as 6-8 weeks. We started sending ours right around the 1 year mark. You can always hire a nanny for full/time in-home care but there are trade offs for both that you will have to manage
1 year old… day care… she won’t interact with anyone. They’ll put her into a chair, and into a crib. That’s it. Don’t worry about it, under 2, 2 1/2, it’s a myth that babies need interaction or socializing (and if you’d like to do it, daycare isn’t the spot for it since there’s no socializing happening).
Not disagreeing with all of you. But point is: If you do it, it might be positive. But if YOU DONT DO it, it’s not negative in any way. She’ll just pick it up later.
Sounds like you want to take a trip for 2 sans baby? I mean I’d say at least wait until they are 2-3.
Yikes do people actually do this? Why become parents if you don’t want to commit? Find family like grandparents for overnights or something
Check out Goddard. They start with babies as young as 6 months I think. My kids started there at 2/2.5 yr old. It’s expensive but very different than a traditional daycare.
I love the one near my house … was planning yo send my 7 mo when she turned 1 - sadly we are moving out of town in a few months so that sucks.

Sending my 1 yr 3 mo old to day since last month. Night and day difference in mannerisms. Like trying to eat food on their own. Stopped being fussy etc.. Just for that was worth it.
Right? They do so many things at daycare that I’d never do. Art being a major one. No paint allowed in my house haha
I plan to send mine at 1 year for socialization. You have to look into what kind of operation it is though. In my case it is a private pre-school that will go all the way to 4 years old. Do some research into the differences between kids who do and don't go to pre-k
Pre-K is very different though!
The day cares near us are 1) Brightpath 2) YMCA (it's an NGO)
Does anyone know which one's better?
We did the research and observed that while YMCA has better premises but the food menu at Brightpath has more options and feels more nutritional.
I’d suggest trying another bowl… but happy to provide thoughts on infant frequent flier programs
I thought for a second I’m in the all things babies bowl. 😬
A baby hotel! Wish there was such a thing. For anyone who feels entrepreneurial: Get it going!
what daycare gives you the most points? send them there!

Gah! Beat me to it
I sent my babies at 12 weeks. No issues

How many points does the daycare offer?
No. My niece (15 months at the time) started daycare 3 months back. She’s really enjoying it - meeting other babies & getting out of the house.
Born in Canada during Covid - hadn’t ever really left the house (aside from walks around the neighborhood) & not used to being with other people (aside from parents & sibling). She was really attached to my sister before daycare (if my sister was in eyeline sight - my niece needed her attention).
Niece is a much happier baby now - less attached & seems to be more independent.
Do whatever works for you & your family.
highly recommend day care! i used to work at a day care and it’s really cool seeing how children who are placed in a day care are more socially swear, and typically learn faster than others i saw in my family who did not. for example we used to get children at around 3 who were never in day care compacted to children who were 3 and in daycare since the start, it was night and day difference! the ones who were in day care were so social with their friends, we’re learning how to read and write. plus typically the day care workers love babies if their in the baby room and will give them so much love and attention! will note we typically would see babies would get a little sick when they first got into day care, but just built their immune systems!!
