I have a colleague who is unvaccinated and tested positive for COVID (he text me to let me know). He lied to the firm about his vaccination status since late last year and he went to the office on Tuesday before he found out on Wednesday that he was tested positive. We were all in the conference room together so, I’m exposed to it as well. He refused to notify the firm about his COVID status and putting all those whom he had come in contact at risk. What should I do?
My sister in law is nurse who is anti-Covid vaccine and keeps trying to convince everyone in my family that they shouldn’t get the vaccine. Part of me just wants to tell her off but don’t want to strain my relationship with my wife

How many of y’all have access to online meeting software and which ones? Do you plan on using these more during the Coronavirus scare? To be clear: I’m not scared, just wondering how folks will adapt.
How are other districts compensating you for working over your contracted time? I’m not taking just over. I’m taking about 13+ hour work days, every day.
MBA admit here and have to put down a deposit soon, having serious cold feet right now due to the covid situation and potentially having to start virtually. Would love any perspective on how it's been particularly socially and what your schools' outlook on the fall is
Just arrived to Sydney from Chicago with my wife and 2 sons both under 2. Escorted to hotel quarantine and spending these 2 weeks trying to figure out if I would/could/should make the move to Sydney permanent. Wife and kids are Australian citizens. Made a list of pros and cons- cons column is empty - the only concern is work. How are you folks doing with COVID economy? Are there significant downsizing? How’s the projected technology consulting pipelines down here?
On Thursday, the USA had 118K covid cases. Japan has 103K cases in total.
Population of USA - 328M, population of Japan - 127M
Those of you who have went from having no car to having a car in the city...do you have any regrets? Even before Covid, I’ve often felt so “stuck” without a car, but I‘ve always been too cheap to seriously consider it. (Should mention that I don’t travel much for work, so that might make a difference in answers in the bowl.) Is it life changing!?
Rumor has it KPMG Boston has the Coronavirus
Took LOA last year, multiple months. Recovered from burnout driven by long hours during covid. But feel like I'm now experiencing burnout in a different form. Don't feel drained but I'm just unmotivated to do anything in life and work. I don't want to eat, exercise, go places, or work. I don't want another break from work, I want to keep doing things (eg not so drained I want to take months off) but this seems like burnout and I don't know what to do.
Is anyone finding this year even harder than last? Anxiety levels on high all the time? That’s me right now. I’m thinking of going to see a therapist to help me get through the year. Is anyone seeing a therapist? Is it helping?

Has anyone resigned their lease on a covid deal apartment? Did the rent go up significantly? Lease is expiring in November and not sure what to expect from the lanlord since the market is back to pre-covid levels
Been crying on and off all day. It's been a rough year. Just hit the one year mark of my dog's death. Coming up on the one year anniversary of my stepdad's death. We just found out my aunt has about six months to live. Childcare is shut down due to a positive COVID case. Just struggling trying to bill my hours. I rescued a puppy Sunday night. I haven't felt that happy in so long. This morning, I rushed her to the emergency vet. She has parvo. I am not sure if I can handle it if she dies.
I was 6 days into stims and tested positive for COVID. My husband got it and despite him quarantining in a different part of the house and using a different bathroom, I still managed to get it.
My cycle has been canceled so I've been hormonal and bloated all for nothing. I feel incredibly defeated.
The kind of good news is that if you progyny, it won't count as a smart cycle.
Wow! Everyone stay safe out there, we are at the beginning of a rough cold, flu, and Covid season.
Anyone in D.C. or Baltimore looking to connect IRL? I grew up in central MD, lived in NoVA for a while, moved out of the area to other parts of the East Coast+West Coast and am back here for now. A lot of my friends from here are either married, moved out of the area, avoiding going out cuz of COVID, or hermits. 44/M

On the 2nd week of joining i got allocated to a project(100% utilization) its been 3 months, the project did not kickstart.. had few meetings but no work at all. What are some good question to ask interviewers? I have an interview with one of the big 4 and haven't had an interview in ages, so I'm a bit rusty. Most of the suggestion I'm getting are stuff which can easily be answered by having a look at the company's website. I don't want to come off as if I haven't done my research by asking such questions.

Hello guys, I just graduated and looking for an entry level recruitment or talent acquisition role either remote, hybrid or on-site in the GTA2
Hi all, I’ve recently onboarded as an HR recruiter with a small NGO. It has been wonderful so far. I want to make the most of my new role. If you have any suggestions or advise, I’d greatly appreciate it.
Does anyone need a hr coordinator, or entry level talent acquisitions coordinator that is 100 remote? Remote jobs are extremely competitive and when I find job posts on LinkedIn there are already over 100 applicants. Very competitive!I am open minded about salary,I have so much interest in expanding my skills. I have about a year of recruiting in the staffing industry and 6 months as an hr assistant for a corporate/manufacturing company. MA in Hr and will be testing for phr in July. Thank you
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
Been searching for an entry level HR coordianator or generalist position but haven't received a call back for 6 months. I come from Banking - years and years of Customer service, reporting, Employee Development, Researching cases, Treasury. I have been at the bank 17 years. I know some of this can transfer over. I don't know what to do as I know my resume is not getting through ATS or if it's just me. Any advice?
I really want to quit my toxic job where I'm underpaid because it's detrimental to my mental health, but I haven't been able to secure a new job in this market after 6+ months of searching
Good Morning Everyone!
Is anyone in the healthcare industry and has an opening for an HR Generalist? Remote or south Florida preferably.
I am a Senior People (HR) Business Partner working in NYC under an H-1B visa (9 years of experience). I am looking for something new, but I am finding it extremely difficult to find a company who would support an H-1B Change of Employer (COE). I either get declined immediately as part of the application process or get told the company does not support visa sponsorship for non-tech roles. Any tips, tricks, or great companies where an H-1B COE would not be an issue?
I need to know if this makes sense…
HR generalist keeps a “DO NOT DISTURB” sign on his office door. 7 days a week for the past 4 months. Is this crazy or am I?
First time poster here!
After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it. My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" Or "Maybe in 6 months!"
I'm testing SPHR in June. Any advice for securing the type of role I'm aiming for?
PHR vs SHRM vs AIRS? Which one should I pursue?
For those of you who are certified (SHRM or PHR), what was your biggest takeaway from getting your certification? How has this helped you today in your HR career?
So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?
Does anyone have an Employee Separation Files Management process or policy they can share. It might include collecting files from hiring managers.
I'm SHRM-SCP certified and I have been interested in the total rewards or compensation side of HR. Do you think that getting the CCP certification is a good investment? I've seen many Total Rewards open positions but I feel I don't have the necessary experience. Any advices?
Hi all, as a Talent Acquisition Partner that is looking to start expending my Professional education, would you recommend pursuing SHRM-CP certification?
Hi everyone! Just looking for some insight. I’m about 4 years into HR, have my bachelors. I’ve been toying around with the idea of getting my masters in something relating to compliance/labor law and that side of HR. Shrm certification is also on my list. If anyone has some advice on what to get a masters in specifically, I’d be open to suggestions! I’m trying to find something that would be worth my while and would give me a step up. Thanks!
Hey guys. So I just got an offer letter for amazon HRBP1 which is a L4 position and im getting offered 60,640. Is that consider low for a BP?
