Thoughts on this "Career Ladder" framework for PMs?
Would love Florida resort suggestions for family vaca during week of Jan 1. Wife and I are looking to take our three young kids somewhere warm in the US. Thought about Mexico but don’t have passports and don’t have time to get them. I’m not too familiar with FL. Assume we need to go as south as possible for warm weather. Can you suggest family friendly resorts that are still luxurious (budget not an issue)? Ideally with Caribbean like beach.
Hi folks, I hope y'all are doing good.
I am looking for a referral in American Express. I have the job Ids. Please reply or DM if anyone can help. It would be so appreciated.
when do most lateral IB analyst openings pop up?
Going to visit Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota along with the Rapid City, SD area (plus parks and Mt Rushmore) for the first time this summer. Anyone ever been there before? How long did it take y'all to visit those places?
I joined HCL in july 2021 & completed one year in july 2022. Currently I am serving notice period and my last working day is December 7th. I resigned in September month
So when I will get my variable pay of last year as my performance cycle is still not closed.
So... any news now that it’s July??
Enrollment numbers are at an all-time low and expected to be even lower next year. Guess who will be the first to go? Elective teachers like me. But what about the funding we're supposed to be getting from the fed? Electives are never considered a priority.
I know all of us struggle in our personal life. I've taken this initiative to create a bowl where people can post their problems and we as a community will try to help each other.
It's better to share than to suffer in silence. ♥️💐
Please share this bowl with others as well let the community grow! Thanks.

Hi all - could I get some honest advice please. What are the best and worst things about working in a corporate job in Norway? (I.e WLB, pay, slow career growth, diverse or not so diverse teams)
Is it a horrible idea to date someone you work with? This guy and I have been friends for about a year now and my girlfriends/coworkers think he's really into me. I find him attractive and know he's a good guy - too risky to ask him out for a drink? I'm worried if it goes badly our friendship and working relationship will be messy. Not trying to turn my life into an episode of Grey's Anatomy if I can help it.
Wedding registry question... My fiancé & I are in our mid 30s & already have most of what we need in terms of household items, glassware, etc. We want to be mindful of our guests' wide budget ranges, perhaps pick a few charities that are close to home in lieu of gifts. TBH, we have much more use for cash vs. things, but feel icky asking for it. Anyone on here in a similar situation & how are you navigating?
Anyone interested in an internal payer strategy role in NYC area? WFH 3 days a week, good WLB, various project opportunities and lots of visibility. Recruiting for different levels, but especially 0-4 YOE. DM if interested!

How many sick days do you get paid for when you retire. I heard its not many. Then I should just take all mine every year, right?
I recently became an eduation consultant for my state. It's been really interesting to see what they value in terms of quality vs what I valued as a teacher and principal.
Which do you think is most important for having what you need to be an innovative teacher? Time to brainstorm, professional development, or funding? (or something totally different)
Teachers I am looking for a good, short morning work for third graders that includes math and ELA skills. Any suggestions?
So, how much work are you giving elementary students? I just got the calendar from my kid’s teacher. While I am teaching from home, I’m supposed to make sure my kid does 4+ hours of work.

Here's something ALL Americans can be proud of: this election is projected to have the highest turnout since 1908 with 65% of eligible voters participating.
After 22 years in one school district, I’m moving to a new one. I’ve taken the summer to disconnect from education and am feeling refreshed. I hope everyone has an amazing year!!
How much do you pay for benefits? I am thinking about moving districts but I am not sure what the hidden fees are for their benefits. Wish it was more transparent, I feel like other districts get paid way more but I was wondering if they syphon your money away with health insurance, dental etc.
I'm one of 3 learning strategists at my school. However, I'm the MAIN strategist that cover for absent teachers. I just finished taking over a grade until it was filled with a new teacher. Admin works closely with the other 2. I'm not included in any school data/presentation to help the new teachers on staff. I believe the other strategists are working against me. They are assigned classes when I'm not available. The union says it's at the principal's discretion. What would you do?
Well, that’s enough for one day…
I had 8 conferences scheduled this evening and 3 parents were a no-show. I just find it so disrespectful and I feel it sends the wrong message to kids when the parents don’t care enough to show.
Some of these kids own their parents.
I thought I’d share this podcast I’ve been listening to over the years. Lots of great tips on streamlining and shortening your workweek. This episode was an interesting commentary on the present state of our educational system and offers suggestions on what an individual teacher could do. Does our President know how bad it looks for him to claim that the reason we have more virus cases is because we have done too many tests?
I mean, does this reasoning make any sense to anyone?
I’m a new teacher, and I’m a guy. I have so many female students who break the dress code for revealing clothing, and I’m afraid to say something because I think it will back-fire and get me into trouble.
