Our doctor has suggested ReceptivaDx testing after 5 days from Egg retrieval. Has anyone experience with that? Our fertility clinic SGF mentioned Insurance wont cover it and out of pocket expense is 800 $ , they have also asked us to pay 2100 $ as charges for analysis portion of the PGTA.

The costs sound similar. In my case, ReceptivaDx was worth it. The procedure is a little bit uncomfortable, but you will manage.

Thanks for your reply

Sounds very similar to our costs, which were also out of pocket. We paid $2000 for the biopsy to the clinic, and $150 / embryo sent to the genetics lab

So the ReceptivaDx test came positive today? What does that mean for next steps in the IVF treatment, will be talking to our doc next week but curious now

After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). Add a terrible health situation in my family and it seems there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Ugh. 😞

Serious question - is there a reverse FIRE strategy? I like the idea of saving and retiring early, but the one hiccup I see (and sorry if this is grim) is if you die earlier than expected. I’d be worried that I would minimize lifestyle and fun for retirement at 50 but I’d die at 49. How about a way to work 9 months out of the year and retire/travel/relax for 3 months? This way you guaranteed your dreams/etc. are fulfilled

If I transfer and have no choice but to work on insurance/claims, would it be better to stay in auditing? Is the insurance/claims work demanding/difficult intellectually wise?
