Our firm is looking to switch to either Ultratax or CCH Axcess. Anyone want to share what they love/hate about either? Or any quirks we should be wary of? Mostly just going to be 1040's, 1120s', and a handful of 1065's. We'll have 8 users and possibly going up to 25 before we think about switching again (5 years or so.)

I work in industry and I’m getting bored with tax compliance. I found a great opportunity in public accounting but I’m not sure if now is a good time to switch job with this economy and all. Any thoughts? Should I stay put for now?

Those of you who left for industry, what do you work towards in your role? I was reflecting on my time in public and there was always something, whether it was a new section in the file, getting more client contact, getting invited to a big golf outing, running the jobs, managing the jobs, etc. I worry that leaving would leave me bored and not motivated to hit any sort of goal.
