Our firm is moving from Jobvite to Oracle HCM Cloud. Any tips, pitfalls to be aware of, recommendations would be much appreciated. Please share anything and everything. Thanks!!

You'll probably hate it. Jobvite feels more modern, plus it's a real ATS, not add-on for HRIS.
I would recommend you to detail dashboards you like in Jobvite and ask the Oracle team to implement it

Thanks a million! The requirements gathering/implementation is scheduled to begin over the Summer.

Hello! We've seen a few of our clients switch to Oracle HCM and it's been a challenging implementation and stabilisation. They've found the system to be rigid in terms of approval chains and the reporting that is coming out of the system is fairly basic almost 12 months in. Similar to some of the recommendations above, begin the implementation with a clear idea of the reporting you need and invest alot of time in Recruiter / Hiring Manager training.

Hi! We implemented last June. The hardest part along with folks noted above is position management. We are a large global company and position management in its current form isn’t realistic (too rigid, can’t upgrade or downgrade reqs easily). It’s been challenging for everyone

Yes it’s no problem if you aren’t the one doing it :). For us, it takes editing the position (managers don’t know how to do it so recruiters help), then canceling and creating a new req (annoying, more approvals), then having candidate(s) reapply to new req. this whole process can take a week end to end without an offer going out

Trello? Jira? Other? Why?

I've gotten a lot of mileage out of Trello. Can go shallow or deep. Can't beat it for ease of use, robust free features, lot's of options from them/3Ps on the paid side. I haven't had a lot of success on data/tracking / reporting sides.

Is there a general expectation that a Partner has an MBA?

I doubt it's required at most firms but I'm a pretty senior staff and when I speak with Partners, they seem to speak with an MBA level of business knowledge which extends past their technical skillset.

I realize that's what makes them good Partners but it makes me wonder if I realistically need to get an MBA to keep growing and hit Partner.

Hey team! So I was laid off from my SDR position about a week ago. A couple months back, I had an offer for a BDR position that I ended up turning down but I really liked and connected with the manager. Is it worth it to reach out? I applied to other positions in the same company. What about reaching out to previous co workers at a different company? Not sure how to navigate this… please help. Additional Posts in Recruiters

I have been trying to get into the HRBP role for the last year or two. I have been in Recruiting for the last 10 years in various roles. I am SHRM-CP certified and have my MS in HRD, with a minor/certificate in HR Business Partnership. Does anyone know of any companies hiring for an HRBP? I’ll consider a Jr level one for the right salary.

I was a month in as Workday HCM Consultant with Accenture. They immediately throw me into the HCM courses to obtain my WD HCM certification. There are three parts HCM Essentials, HCM Applied, and HCM Practical. The passing score is 70 or above. I scored a 62 on the Essentials portion, I passed Applied, and at the end of this week Practical. During class, I received an “immediate connect” Team call and I was fired because of my low score. I'm devastated, and shocked. Yesterday was my birthday.

I have been with my current company for about 3 years now and currently at 75k plus employer paid benefits and decent pension plan. Due for review next month and expecting to be offered a 5k raise. However with 6 years of relevant experience I would like to be close to 85k. We hireda new team member for the same role as me as the business is growing. They came in at 75k which bothered me a little because I pretty much began this department and put in a lot of processes. More in comments.

Job offer extended but now some red flags… I was extended an offer today with a pay raise and great benefits. It’s in a field that interests me more but, now some red flags have come up. They voided my offer after asking for time off way in advance in December of this year & the pay that was discussed on the phone is different from my offer letter. I asked the recruiter to clarify and she said I must’ve not heard her correctly on the phone. I’m not having second thoughts… I was excited.

I don’t really want to be in an entry level role again, so what kinds of jobs should I be looking at where I can transfer over my skills easily? I also have customer service experience but would love to stay away from that. TIA!

Hey. Curious of anyone hires tech talent here, but I've had some odd experiences hiring software developers where they won't come on camera for a video interview with my team and then when they get hired, it's like another person interviewed. It's happened a few times and we're just baffled. Is this a thing now?

Today I had a very transparent conversation with my TA Director. I was not eligible for the merit increase due to my start date. I was very open about wanting to grow with an organization and even talked about hoping that they could rectify this in someway. She mentioned that she was going to look into it with her boss to see where they can meet me at. Or do you think I overstepped the line By being so transparent about my wants for compensation and within the organization?
