We need these elective procedures back soon. Or I'm not going to be able to afford to pay my bills.

Good financially, but very risky for patients and staff, both. I assume they're testing for COVID beforehand

I'm sure they could use the revenue. We're getting rocked at my institution

Same here. It’s necessary but daunting given the backlog. And now we’re also starting to see an influx of non COVID hospitalizations

Same here but the more urgent ones are getting priority

I have a gambling problem and it’s become way worse due to Covid. I have been playing online during the pandemic as I’m now in a state where it is legal to play online. Moin! Dachte, ich starte mal einen Thread zur Wahl 😁😁 was haltet ihr von den Ergebnissen soweit?

In a social chat the other day, a person in our group expressed strongly that people should be hired regardless of their legal status to work in any country, as long as they were in willing to work, and stated they were qualified for the job.

For context, everyone in that social outing was a migrant to the country, and the person expressing their view was from Mexico and while a minor crossed the US border illegally but left shortly before they were considered an adult.

Hi! We have a jogathon fundraising in my son’s school. Most of our families are overseas, and don’t want to ask donations to few friends during this difficult times. Our friends also have school age kids. Is it ok if we just do one donation as family? My son wanted to get the expensive prices, but dont want to spend $150 for a kid’s hot lunch. Sorry if it is a dumb question but it is our first fundraising. Thanks

What’s the best way to ask if a job can be remote or at the very least hybrid? I live outside of a pretty major city, but I don’t want to have to commute every day. My current agency allows me to work remote, and I love the flexibility. But, I feel like it’s time to look elsewhere.

My fiancée left her job last summer for a 3 year theology/divinity program at an amazing university. She felt like she was falling behind not having income, so she left the program after yr1. She’s had a very hard time getting back into work. She’d previously worked at Lyft as a specialist and wants to take a stab at consulting. I’d assume she’d have to come in as an associate/staff or possibly experienced hire. I’m just getting my start in consulting next month. Any advice for how she can?
