Sadly, I feel like we are just rolling the dice on our lives. Just a big experiment and they are going to let the chips fall where they may. God, help us! 🙏🏾

In-person 5 days a week probably won't last for too long...but how many people will have to get sick or die before the shut down. 😞
They won’t be there, so they don’t care
Here In Myrtle Beach we have huge numbers and it’s not getting better. I guarantee teachers will quit and they won’t have enough subs to fill in for all of the teachers who become sick and have to quarantine. What will happen to all of the students exposed too in the class? It’s a vicious cycle. They have already told us that we cannot operate safely according to the CDC and DHEC. That’s not a good sign at all. Everyone is having major anxiety down here. We have 2,000 cases per day and now we’re over 60,000 total cases statewide. I’m very scared.
Oh wait. I forgot after the 4 feet comment, one said 3. Of course sports are 100% open. I like sports a lot (art teacher stereotype out the window), but most sports have kids touching. That is not social distancing in any dictionary I know.
Of course, sports rule. I love sports but...not smart IMO
Word on the street is JB Pritzker is announcing remote learning for Illinois tomorrow!
I heard this rumor today at the same time we are hearing rumors from our district that they’re only planning two options- full return or full remote. If most people choose full return, I have no idea how social distancing mandates will be maintained.
Wow. Good luck North Dakota. I just looked at your numbers in your state, they look low. But who knows. The White House is stealing our data now so who knows… You do know that the CDC, before they got hijacked, said that 6 feet is probably not even enough.
Totally agree with you!

Ugh if that’s their logic, we’re all doomed🤦🏻♀️
Chief
Sorry about that.
Our admin asked for volunteer teacher/parents to meet next week to come up with our plan. Lunch in classrooms??? Buses, temp checks...etc . Old school, so classroom AC is an option also. Altho I have no plug-ins close to where it should be. So thankful we are included in the plan.
That is good that they are asking.
One high school dance team was having practice and guess what???? One girl has COVID.
DESE in MA said 3 feet was fine for every school!!!!! Unreal
Glad your school board has made a choice. But wow
Yes “A”plan is great. That’s just ridiculous in my opinion unless it’s a very small school. I thought I read that all stakeholders needed a say... parents, teacher, staff & admin. I’m an AdvancEd school team member, elementary teacher & do statewide accreditations. I look at things with a different perspective than many.

We are opening as usual. All staff and students grades 6-12 wear masks all the time. Grades k-5 wear masks in public areas. We are offering live stream classroom for students who want to do distance learning
I don’t think that would meet the Governor’s requirements set out this week. Unless you are in blue zone, very few counties in ND would qualify for that I’d think. I’d check it out, for myself & my student kiddos.
I believe there will be a community/county zone, not just a state zone thankfully
