I hope to get some thoughtful responses from this post and nothing more. I work for a mid-tier firm after working for big 4s, I joined here after being let go. Having worked for a year, I kind of have this constant thought in my mind that my next lay off is coming. Reasons I think I don’t meet the expectations- in a way my work quality is average. Given am on H1b and a family man, this constant thought of lay off is driving me so crazy that I fear might take me to depression. What should I do?
How valuable is having a B4 name on the resume? Currently at a boutique and have the option to join B4 (not KPMG) or industry. Industry would pay more for the first couple years. Wondering if B4 would be the better option for the long run
16w pregnant w/ 2nd child and have an interview for a job I want. When should I tell the potential employer? I know it’s illegal to discriminate...but also want to be strategic. Any advice?
Foreigners - have you heard about green card interviews? Sounds like they are reinstated from October 1
How do you know if you’re getting a good severance package? And what / how should you negotiate ?

Speaking of boutique firms. What's the name of the trendy millennial one with crazy health benefits that was ranked #1 recently for fun and WLB? I think it was in PA and did primarily healthcare...
Didn’t get the MBB offer, so going FAANG
BCG 🐠 or anyone else who recently interviewed with BCG - is there a new interview format? If so, can someone please share this format. I saw someone mentioned online test, and math test etc. instead of case studies.
Horrible headshots coping mechanisms - lay it on me. The firm decided to schedule new headshots at the worst possible time (WFH 15 I’m struggling to get off, none of my suits fit, my hair girl accidentally took my blonde too dark). Proofs came back and they are godawful - the photographer put me in the most awkward positions, so I look uncomfortable AND like an overstuffed sausage. I want to asinine for reshoots but I’m worried he’s going to make the exact same errors.
State your firms retirement benefits...401k and so on. Accenture is 100% match up to 6%, but only after year 1.
MBB 🐠’s, what are some viable options for someone with 5 yrs of ERP implementation experience to join an MBB?
Sounding like this laptop ban for domestic travel is becoming real. Overheard some people in firm talking about planning for its implications.

It seems a lot of industries are struggling with labor shortage, Have most people taken jobs in a different industry or there are people available but not applying for these positions? Given that now the government pandemic benefits are done, what's going on exactly?
Alright - for the ladies who found other jobs while on mat leave: when did you give notice - on your first day back? And was that essentially your last day at the firm, or did you stick around for a few days to wrap things up? (The new gig doesn’t start for a few months, so that I can be childcare.) I suspect my firm won’t want to pay me for two weeks to just stick around without a project, correct? Thanks in advance for any anecdotes or helpful tips.
Currently in Sales Ops, previously a BDR at smaller company. 2 YOE. I'm thinking about switching over to consulting. I want to go back to client facing but at a strategic level without focusing too much on selling. Any advice? Referrals? I'm within healthcare.
I am planning to put my papers without any offer, and then look for offers in the next 3 months. Is it a right decision? Please guide me on this 🙏🏽
