If you only do a few projects a year, I don’t think it’s worth it. You can get an EIN number (fast and free) and use that to call yourself a Sole Proprietor.
Prob not unless your making a significant amount of income off it that you would benefit from certain business write offs. If you search LLC in this group you’ll see a lot of info about or but unless your making like 10s of thousands off your side hustle no reason too. But they are pretty inexpensive to setup if you do just to to have a business you are planning on growing into something.
The biggest drawback is that it can take you longer to get paid as agencies can have 90 day terms to pay some vendors. Typically freelance is much quicker.
