Out of curiosity, What are the biggest scandals of esch firm? McKinsey had that south african corruption thing and more recently the "overdose reccomendation"; and Monitor helped Gadhafi in Lybia; but what else do we know? I'd assume Oliver and Bain should be the "most ethical ones" (or less unethical perhaps), but I honestly have no clue

This is one of the times that I’m glad ZS has piss-poor media coverage, those blokes would have a field day if they discovered we’ve influenced a wide swath of the global healthcare landscape over the past 40 years.

McKinsey also helped the Saudi government track women who were trying to escape the country/their abusive husbands. Wasn’t it Accenture who created the technology for the Marriott/SPG merger? That one was a crime against humanity

Wow, so much evil that i want to work for them. Its not everyday you get a chance to ruin the world at the scale and impact that McK offers.

Is this app just a bunch of 25 year olds? Bain was involved in a massive scandal with Guinness that helped precipitate a near-bankruptcy of the firm. The whole episode created a “second founding” of the firm (this was when Mitt came back as managing partner) and a lot of the core values came from those years. But it was certainly big news.

Surprised this one isn’t higher. Having coordinated insider trading on your clients is like the most foundational no no and breach of trust. I still remember some of my McK friends complaining, shockingly, that after Galleon boo hoo there is more compliance and controls over their trading.

Considering leaving Bain with 2 years in SM role, HSW MBA, and 11 years since undergrad. Google role is non-technical Cloud Strategy. Unsure of title or level at this point - called "lead" but contact indicated flexibility. Would be remote in a non-SF/NY location. Mgr indicated it was technically an individual contributor role though I would be managing 2 people. What comp/level should I expect (Assuming L6?)? What is the significance of the IC role if I'm technically managing 2?

I work in a group that has had to come in to the office regularly during COVID (lots of work with original documents and wet ink signatures). It’s real estate and title companies still require wet ink documents. One junior has refused to come in because he says he’s concerned about COVID. We all wear masks, close our doors, and socially distance. We’ve all had to pick up the slack for him. Just found out he’s taking his second vacation during COVID and visiting family in FL. I could scream.

Im a BDR at a large medtech vendor that expanded into SaaS complimenting our existing smart devices at hospitals. Sales cycles are long in this industry (min 12mo), but seems our value-add platform is so new to market that it’s taking longer (16-24+mo). I’ve been here for over 6mo and support 3 AE’s with zero pipeline and wins, despite meeting my own metrics to get meetings. Is this complex environment usual for enterprise software sales? Not sure if I’m hurting my new sales career by staying.
