LTI and Mindtree merger planned on 6 May as per media report . The brand name Mindtree will be dissolved. Seems appraisal discussions and hike is pending due to this event.
Don't expect good hike and people who can sense the future work culture , will start looking for the change now

I feel like mbb doesn’t have a rep for being the most cut throat. But to answer your question, from fb, it appears Deloitte is the most cut throat or cold culture
BCG is not cutthroat at all
Accenture Strategy pretty cutthroat
I would say ACN
D is very fratty, very cliquey and very very cutthroat
IBM lol
I would agree with accenture strat but maybe I’m just soft...
Never heard of MBB having a cutthroat culture. No utilization targets, not competing for a fixed number of positions during promotion, close to no politics below principal level... I'd agree on the above, feels like Deloitte is more cutthroat.
@C3 do you know which non-MBB consulting firms are also like that?
Can someone explain why D gets these votes? Genuinely curious as I (probably as a result of not having worked anywhere else) don’t understand what’s “cutthroat” about working here.
From what I hear - Oliver Wyman, IBM, Kurt Salmon
Agreed, D seems to be the winner(?) on that one
Kurt Salmon?
(Fyi i was being sarcastic)
How are you defining cut throat? Deloitte S&O promotes pretty everyone who doesn’t suck up until around SM, but they purposely make you feel like you’re not doing enough and turn promotions into a very stressful thing - but then almost everyone is promoted. From a colleague standpoint, everyone has been great and helpful.
The ones that aren’t foundationed as an accounting firm generally. The utilization and scoring creates this. From what I know, Booz, Atk, and most elite boutiques, have a more supportive culture
Came from Deloitte and wondered how there was such a stark difference in culture
Deloitte for sure.
Up or out =\= cutthroat
