Almost any of them in the top 50. IB is a dying industry that seems to attract worse talent every year.

NYU

like

Cornell!

Any T15 will get you there. A lot of it comes down to geography.

Seen a lot of Darden at Evercore

like

Fuqua places well across the BB.

u don’t want to do ib. I promise

Open to any schools geographically, but realistically want to end up on the west coast. Would Haas/Anderson be my best bets?

Yes

Look at it more based on geography (aka, relatively close by to cities/areas where there is a strong ib presence).

Stern, Cornell, Johnson

NYU, Darden, Anderson, Cornell

UNC for placement in the south

I’ve been working for a company for 25yrs, looking for advancement. I’m considered an SME, managing people, Vendors and working on large system conversions. Have provided long term goals. When requesting feedback I’m told I’m on the right path, no suggestions on what to improve. I asked about timelines for advancement and not being given anything concrete. Recently interviewed with another company as a Vendor Mgmt partner. Individual contributor, high visible position with potential. Thoughts?

I’m a 2nd year associate in tech consulting @ pwc and looking to leave ASAP. Client Experience has been pretty broad (IT strategy & implementation, analyst on clients FP&A team) w/ a brief stint as a PM on an internal GTM offering. Would love to switch to a strategy firm but feel it would be pretty difficult with pwc and a non-target school on my resume. Should I look at boutique firms? Try and switch internally?

Purely mercenary question here: If I'm currently a 7yr working EPLI at an ID firm, and want to break $300k in the next few years, is there a route to get there?

Partnership at my firm won't come close. My transferrable book is probably less than $100k a year. BL is probably not interested in me given my law school tier and current firm. Am I dreaming?

Hello, I'm working with Deloitte and recently got an offer from EY GDS TTT.

YOE: 5.2
Tech: .Net & Angular Full stack developer
CCTC: 13.35 Fixed
EY offer: 19 fixed
Role: Advanced Analyst (Rank 44)

I'm not satisfied with the role as I was expecting a senior role. I mailed HR about the same but it's been 10 days and still no reply.

So, can I get promoted the coming year as I will ge 6 YOE by June?? Any suggestions would really help. Thanks 😊

I’ve been in life underwriting for over 20 years and honestly have never enjoyed it. The strictly production related work is hard for me to stay focused and be interested in the job. Any ideas on what else I can do and still make decent money? I’ve always found it pretty stressful and would prefer a less stressful position.

For those who like litigation, but not personal injury and premises liability claims, why areas are you feeling the most traction in while looking for lateral moves to other firms?

Been considering getting out of Big4 consulting for a while now. Recently started interviewing and got an offer out of the blue. Rank is somewhat similar, but pay is pretty much same as now, except for one time RSU quantity that vests over 3 years. The new role fits most boxes, but I'm on the fence about whether to jump just yet. Looking to crowdsource my decision based on inputs from others who've jumped recently v/s those who have stayed put temporarily.

Penny for your thoughts 🥺

A client developer group just told me they reached terms to “buy equity in a lease.” From what they’ve told me, if we were setting this up fresh, I’d do a new LLC and easily handle capital contributions, buy-sell, etc. in the new LLC agreement. However, here the partner had a long-term lease on the underlying RE that our group wants to develop as a concept. Lease assignment to new LLC is dicey, but I’m thinking maybe we set up a Mgmt services company to contract w/ the partner-tenant entity?

One thing I like about my firm is that, if your intern sucks? You can just say they suck and they’ll get pulled off your job so you can focus on being efficient. I put considerable effort into 1: he’s never available, never finishes anything, never takes notes, doesn’t follow through on communication ever, zero initiative, and refuses to talk to anyone except 1 staff associate even when specifically directed otherwise. I can’t push pull or drag him if I tried (and I did). I don’t feel bad.
