Gotham is good, but Foundry is a nightmare. They essentially parachute their “A” team to seal the deal... then replace it with their “C” team. Meanwhile all your data is locked away in their proprietary software so consultants can’t use it. Your data is hostage and you have to keep paying them to maintain it with their “C” team. Seen them too many times try and “partner” with consultants, but really just want to get them in the door and then kick the consultants out.
They are like IBM Watson. All sales and shit delivery.
I have to agree here. Never recommended Watson to any of my clients and went through internal fights to not bring the software to them.
Delivery is the one that actually suffers because of sales not knowing what they talk about. That’s the incentive system software sales has. Wouldn’t blame delivery per se.
Haha! They make the best products!
We use them extensively. The Palantir consultants are really good. Their tool, not as much.. But, they keep improving and releasing new apps all the time to make things work for us.
As an organization we have fully invested into its enterprise data and analytical platform. So, we had to upskill lot of people to use PySpark..but, now in Year 3 we are seeing the dividends of our decisions.
If you are looking at this from a specific use case...not worth it. For a holistic organisational transformation...definitely worth it!
Totally agree with this assessment!!
If you use their tools long enough (specific ones around AML etc.,) you’d fall in love with them too! They are intuitive to use and performance is ridiculously good!!
I heard already many times that clients are trying to replace Palantir because of their arrogance.
