The Partner Fear Index - based on what you know on COVAD-19, how much do you worry about your 2020 business outcomes? 1-10 scale, 1 being “another great year” and 10 “getting ready for capital calls”.
What is the typical buy-in for partnership in a smaller/boutique firm? my firm has 9 attorneys (one associate). We aren’t in a big city- but in a larger metropolitan area. Annual revenue is 7-8 figures. I did not pay anything out of pocket/ or take out a loan, but my “buy in” is my distributions for the first three years as partner will be reduced by 20%.
I'm a first time mom and trying to choose a baby monitor. Have people liked the Nanit camera? Or is it overpriced and should I just get an audio monitor and Wyze camera?
*seeking advice* Thinking about making a switch from 3rd year litigation associate to in house for a major state university. Would be a pay cut but better WLB. Any advice, recommendations, or things I should know about GC for state schools? Questions I should ask in my final round of interviews?

I’d love to work in marketing at a tourist board but it’s such a competitive job. Any tips on how to make my resume stand out?

Anyone else have a burning passion for TAX
Currently have a hospice patient on physical therapy caseload for device recommendations to give her a better QOL in her final days. I go in to assess her and find she has a sacral ulcer. Nurse and I (the PT) agree that the patient would benefit from a ROHO cushion for her W/C. Hospice comes back and says they don’t cover cushions! This is beyond messed up. Bigger picture, this $170 cushion is probably cheaper than most items they’ve spent money on covering for her.
Hello all, we are a 100 ppl cloud company with HQ in the SF Bay Area ( majority of the employees are remote) and we are thinking about improving our time off policy. What does your company’s time off policy look like? We currently offer 10 vacation days and 10 sick days per year for new hires. Not very competitive as you can see ….
Looking for salary information:
Veteran producers, can you share some shoot stories from the 90s and early 2000s? What were the budgets and timelines like? Were the old days really that great?

I have had the honor of having been called a dummy by both Hadley Wickham (Hadley, “I’m surprised your code runs.”) and Dirk Eddelbbuettel on stack overflow. Who is the smartest person that has called you a dummy? They did both reply and answer my question so I win :)
I am in the final round of interview at Tredence for a Director level, they are offering me a minimal salary Hike, but a promotion and ESOPs. What are typical no of ESOPs do Tredence offer to Directors @Tredence
Auto Ml and No Code Ml. I haven't used these tools, but checking in the community if anyone has hands on experience and recommendations. It seems like a good way to go for a medium size enterprise to rapidly deploy and test ML use cases. Create tangible value, present to upper management establishing credibility for budget, and continue growing the team and skillets, eventually moving into more customization requiring correlated technical skillets. What's the verdict guys?
Anyone switch languages from R to Python? I’m very good in R but only know a little bit of Python. A job that I interviewed for and sounds really interesting expects everything I do now in R to be done in Python. If anyone has made the switch before I’m curious how much time it took you to learn and what the best resources were for you.
Anyone in here know much about Georgia Tech’s OMSCS or OMSA programs (Online Masters in CS or Analytics). I’ve been doing a lot of research and may pull the trigger on doing OMSCS part time. Talking to a team member soon about it.

Reading through some possible interview questions for FAANG. One of the ones I've seen on Glassdoor are to design a basic architecture structure for something like Netflix or Twitter or Spotify. I've been researching online using AWS or GCP (still learning all the moving parts of architecture). Any advice on how the setup would be? I'm assuming you'd start with some Load Balancers. For Netflix maybe have different different APIs for signing up vs scrolling through possible movies?
