🍿 This is a good question for this forum.
@OW1 - thanks for the knowledge, learn something new every day!
@A3 - which is part of the reason I'm in the pardon camp. Summary execution of US citizens is not what I signed up to defend.
I forgive him. He protected humanity's interest. I'd have done the same.
Full pardon, the NSA are the ones who belong in prison.
When he did it, I would've said hell no because I was leading a platoon in Iraq. Today I'd say yes.
Nah, he screwed up ACN's acquisition of Booz. Fuck that guy....oh, also the treason and love for Putin.
DD1: What has changed your mind? (and thank you for your service!)
@DD1 if he comes home, he's dead. There are no intentions of putting him through the judicial process
No mercy for traitors
If he wanted to expose illegal activity he could have done limited targeted releases or used existing whistle blower channels. He's a traitor and a criminal
@pwc3 it has been revealed that he tried official channels many times before resorting to his actions; all this info is just a google search away from you
@A1 he did?
I call BS on A1. Snowden worked for BAH not Booz&Co. They're completely separate companies and BAH was never bought.
Absolutely no pardon.
Fuck him. 🖕Most of what he released was not related to domestic interests (I.e. perfectly legal). He's a fucking traitor. And a coward for running. Before anyone asks, I'm an independent that leans liberal.
No
@p2, thank you. I now believe our government messes with the rest of the world (and us) too much. Snowden knew the risks and still felt it necessary to bring this to light. That said, I'd have more respect for him if he faced the music at home. He can't be pardoned until he's convicted as I understand the process.
DD1: Very good point about the pardon. Believe he can be pardoned prospectively. I'm still very much on the fence about this. I agree with what he did to a large extent. I disagree with how. This is a tough one.
Yes. I dont see why people blame him for their unethical stuff being public knowledge- work ethically and it doesnt matter if anything "leaks". And its not like hes sitting around hacking everything himself, he really just facilitating making it public. Not saying im for hacking but its always gonna happen now and its good information the public should know. for ex: why arent people more mad hillary got questions before hand than they are that it got hacked? If the democratic party operated honestly, it wouldnt matter. I for one would rather know the dishonestly of my party than be mad about the hack.
