What is yearly increment or hike in pwc india
Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?
Does anyone have experience interviewing with Deloitte Internal Services? I had my final interview a week and a half ago, and received positive feedback throughout. The hiring manager had positive things to say and mentioned they hoped to make a decision by the end of last week. It’s now Friday the week after. The role still shows as “Interviews in Process.” We did discuss potential start dates, but no salary. Any experience with receiving offers for an internal services role? Is this common?

We adopted, I’m a guy, and got 16 weeks. It was amazing. Whenever I tell anyone about it their jaw drops.
Slalom's parental leave sucks buttholes. For the money they're making, they really could make that better. I'm so happy for all of you who get a reasonable leave, especially non-birthing parents -- that is hugely inspiring and makes my heart happy.
It's so annoying how companies act as if the non-birthing parent's life isn't changing as dramatically... One week is a slap in the face. Assuming a traditional relationship (biological parents) for this, the mother has had 9 months of life changing and bonding with this child, while the father has had mostly the same life up until birth - then, all of the sudden, BAM, monster life change all at once. Giving a new father 1 week is only promoting them to become the stereotypical non-present, distant "provider" father that you see on TV, as it doesn't give him even close to appropriate time to comprehend ANY of the myriad of feelings that just hit him like a meteor - let alone attempt to deal with them.
I get it's US culture, but our companies are big enough and (should be) forward thinking enough to be better than that, and help promote their employees starting a healthy, loving, family - so they can come back to work afterwards far more clear headed with a greater sense of purpose than they've ever experienced. I hope leaders at Slalom read this, because they need to step up.
D may be 16 weeks but seen plenty of forced separations from the company when you come back for working mothers.
What is Slalom?
12 weeks maternity or paternity
ACN has 6 weeks paternity I think
Accenture maternity is 16 weeks full pay (8 weeks maternity + 8 weeks primary care giver). Paternity is 8 weeks if you’re primary caregiver
This is in the US that I’m talking about
D6, Slalom is a $1B consulting company that is #2 in consulting magazine http://www.consultingmag.com/rankings/best-firms/
and #54 in Fortune http://fortune.com/best-companies/list
Our benefits policies need some serious work, but if you haven't seen us competing for and winning the same work as momma D, you're either overseas or at crappy clients.
H1 is spot on - we have 12 weeks maternity leave and 4 weeks paternity leave. In addition, we offer free breastmilk shipping, unlimited PTO, and infertility medical coverage. I also took advantage of our mentorship program, in which I was paired with another working mom to for some extra support and guidance on ramping down/up post-leave. I am really pleased with with Huron has to offer and know they are always seeking input on what matters most to their consultants.
@
@Accenture4 what are you even saying get over yourself
And yes. 1 week for dads is painfully weak. 8 weeks for moms is pretty terrible too...and those were "big wins" (up from zero and 6) just a couple years ago. It's shameful considering our I&D pushes on all other fronts.
I just came back from leave. Keep in mind that if you are the individual in labor and delivery there are a few other vehicles for paid time off. Our leaves team will walk you through them. I took a total of 24 weeks
Thanks Hackett! Finally found a company with a worse policy than Slalom's!

6 weeks paternity for ZS
PwC is 6-8 weeks STD 100%, 6 week maternity/paternity leave. You can take 6 months off but some will be unpaid
16 weeks maternity, 8 weeks paternity.
I thought maternity was 12 weeks at PwC, but looks like PwC3 knows her stuff. I’m a soon-to-be dad, looking forward to my 6 weeks... wish it was 16 though.
@PwC3 thought PwC was 6 weeks paid for maternity and paternity and potentially 6 weeks unpaid for maternity? Did you have to work out a special deal for your leaves or was that what was offered when you spoke with HR?
SC4 - I have heard pay largely follows you or even increases when moving to Slalom, not true? I have heard benefits are lacking however, PTO, matching etc
12 weeks total - 5 weeks of STD at 66% pay + 7 weeks unpaid leave. For moms...pretty sure fathers have to rely on their PTO
