Parents are flying over from Singapore and considering booking on Korean air. Any idea if it is good? Parents are used to flying a lot, but a little slow with English.

Worst case there will be someone out of a billion of us to help them plus they are used to flying so will be fine.

Connecting through Korea might require a transit visa.. just check once.

Op my parents struggled with korean air. Probably bad experience. Seats and travel is comfortable but air hostess cannot speak English. Out of all the 12+ they have , only one speak and they suffered. Good was manageable , no complaints as they were vegetarians. Other big issues was souel airport and transfer , same language issue

Korean is awesome, Hindi speaking hostess n really nice Veg food.

If it’s not too much of a difference, try Air India, Etihad or some other airline where they might feel more comfortable with the people and more importantly the indian food. Most of the other international airlines do not serve Indian and even if they do it’s a joke. Given it’s your parents consider spending a little extra

Thanks all. They usually prefer Singapore Airlines, and which doesn't have much in terms of Indian food either but doesn't bother them. Like I said they have flown more international flights than I have. This trip is one of those times where weirdly everything else is super expensive, like more than double of what we normally book for, and the dates inflexible. Hence looking for anyone who can talk about the airline itself, the service level overall and general comfort onboard.

Thank you P1 - that's very helpful!

Looking for advice. I'm a tax manager that worked at both Big 4 and mid-tier in expat/mobility tax. I want to move away from tax compliance and more into technology. I thought about quitting to do a bootcamp and work as a software developer, but is it too risky? Perhaps I can blend my tax experience and "coding" skills and do tax technology?

Had an initial phone screening/interview with my dream firm. I’m not sure how it went. There were some good, some bad (or at least I think) parts. I was referred by a partner and this is my first time phone screening and was expecting a lot more questions. I was asked a couple “tell me about” questions and then went into salary expectations and open to relocating. How much weight do they put into the phone screen and is it normal to wonder how they went?
