Parents: Do any of you have recommendations on a tablet/case for kids that can be tethered to something pretty easily? Going to take a road trip and will need it for the trip and meals at restaurants.

For small kids, I like the Kindle Fire. Pretty easy to control content and the kid version comes with a case and a great warranty. It is slower / clunkier vs an iPad but my kids are 3 and 4 and don’t care (though I find it a bit annoying when I’m doing setup or updates). Plus I can replace each one 4+ times for the cost of an iPad.
We just did a 10 hour road trip and week long vacation and preloaded Netflix, Prime and Disney with stuff to watch and off we went.

If you haven’t eaten out with a toddler, you have no idea what 30 minutes to finish your meal while it’s hot and actually talk to your partner is worth.

I (36F) am married to another woman (34F) and we have a baby (5moF). We split all childcare, cleaning, meal prep, errands etc fairly evenly and it works well. Maybe she cooks more than I do bc she likes it, and I clean more bc I need to have a clean house. My friend (35F) recently took a business trip and literally put a binder together with instructions for her husband re: daycare drop off and pick up, what to feed the kids, when to take out the trash and so on. California attorneys — I am having difficulty finding authority concerning the use of a rejected (partial) settlement offer to claim that a party failed to mitigate their damages. I.E. plaintiff could have mitigated if they accepted the (partial) settlement offer. Defendant offered to settle one claim (without affecting the others). Plaintiff rejected. The value of damages has increased over time and now defendant claims that plaintiff failed to mitigate because they did not accept the offer. TY

what difference does 109% vs. 100% utilization make at Year End? Latter basically means you took your PTO, former means you worked every minute of the year (Consulting, S&O)

Hours real talk. I've always been very "bill what I work" so that means light weeks I'm destroying my own utilization/billing initiatives instead. Meanwhile peers bill 40-45 regardless. Am I an idiot?
