Are you wanting to climb the tower for the view or because it’s the Eiffel Tower? I liked the view better from Tour Montparnesse because you’d have the Eiffel Tower in the photo, or going up the Notre Dame
Agreed! Go up Notre Dame, take some nice pictures and you’ll have the Eiffel Tower in the background
I am unable to buy the ticket for the elevator access online because it’s sold out (dec 27- 1 Jan)
Oh just know it’s a lot of stairs. Will be tough with a 1 year old. I thought maybe the tour companies had elevator tickets. Try a river cruise instead it’s pretty and easier with a child
I’d just pay the extra. With a 1 year old you dont want to take the chance.
Walk up the stairs, there's never a long line go your own pace then just pay to take the elevator up from the first level you get to in up and our in less than an hour or longer if you want
Will you be going back? I recommend skipping the line and taking the elevator up. On a clear day it’s worth it
I personally would try to do it Bc it’s Paris. I’ve googled and saw these on viator for Dec 28 https://m.viator.com/tours/Paris/Skip-the-Line-Eiffel-Tower-2nd-Level-Tour-Louvre-Museum-and-Cruise/d479-9205P2
Yeah - I was just saying it’s 70 dollars instead of usual 25 :) - I can still get it for 25 if I just buy a walk in ticket but not sure how long the line for ticket will be
I am totally planning to do it since it’s first time in Paris for my family
Going up the tower is totally skippable, especially if you’re wasting any precious Paris time waiting in a line. If you want skyline views, spend an evening watching the sun go down and the city light up from the steps of sacre coure. Bring wine
We made reservations for the restaurant to skip the line. The food was ok, but better than paying a tour company all that extra $$$ for nothing
Dine good points made about notre dame and montparnasse (quite a distance away but definitely ko lives and good view of the city with Eiffel in it). I climbed it up hitch wasn’t too bad and the views, since it’s just along the river were breathtaking. Waiting in line could have you there for hours so I’d choose the other options
Was just there yesterday and waited in line to get the elevator ticket with. 5 and 2 year old- was only about 30 minutes and was pretty painless. That being said, it was Christmas Day so it could be longer otherwise.
I waited in line last February - would have gladly paid extra to skip the line second time around - it was so cold!
Those prices sound decent for skipping the line. I’d probably just not go until kids are older but understand the first time as a family in Paris sentiment.
