How is this even a question? Are cost consultants going to start questioning why we’re feeding our crew next? Parking for production vehicles during prep, shoot, wrap, and overnight between days should be included in the bid. Same as parking for crew using their personal cars for runs during prep, wrap, or during the shoot. Outside of the NYC zone, parking for crew and talent vehicles should be provided by production and the cost of the lot (if needed) and shuttles/drivers to bring people from parking to location should be included in the bid. Sometimes in NYC you’ll get talent who drive to set when it’s stated that there’s no parking available and then ask for parking to covered…that’s the only time it’s not covered by the job in some form.

I’m not assuming malicious intent. I answered your question in detail (your welcome), and I pointed out that it’s an issue that this being questioned by someone, not necessarily you. That being said, isn’t it also a problem that we need to use fishbowl to justify basic production necessities?
This should be covered by production in full, regardless of city
100% always. Really your prod co should be providing it, not asking anyone to go out of pocket.

Parking??? That’s the least of our concerns! But prod. co. will have that handled. And if not, expense it. NEXT?

Nope, cost consultants need to protect the client from those dirty agencies and prod cos claiming they need a whole 100k to shoot, edit, and finish 12 spots with a 2 day location shoot and 15 talent.
Yep definitely covered by the production company since they coordinate all those details. Sometimes as an agency producer I’ve had to pay out of pocket while on a tech scout but then I’ll just expense it.

Crew is always included in the firm bid and I include parking, mileage and any meal per diem in my talent estimate
