Hi fishes, in urgent need of your suggestions.
One of my friend is having offer from Oracle Pune for software developer role in Oracle store team. but he does not have clear idea of the role whether it will be operations, support or development work.
Does anyone know what kind of work is there in store team. Also, is it possible to change the project once we get inside?
Urgent suggestions required...
Thanks!

I am working in Tata Consultancy kolkata from past 3 years, planning to get transfer to TCS Bangalore(hometown). Will there be any issues if I provide fake medical certificate for my parents? Also now they are forcing me to come back to kolkata office, is there any possibly they may let me work from bangalore office even if my project ODC is not there in bangalore?

We all work with stressful clients at some point so I think the worst that this leader can/will do is possibly acknowledge your less than professional in response when others ask how you were to work with. Hopefully he has lots of positives to add as well!
Agree with above, set up a meeting to do some damage control.
The client isn’t always right, but they are the client and if they believed you were working on something else, it may impact how they view your team as a whole.
I know this doesn't help you right now, but don't send emails when you are angry, and definitely don't say anything in writing that can be used against you.
Partner's email wasn't rude but yours was.
Set up a meeting and apologize and tell them that you are under stress and definitely appreciate them looking out for you.
I like to read my emails to a colleague before sending if I’m upset so I can make sure it comes across calm. It’s always good to lock your laptop anytime you’re away from it. You never know when a Skype chat could pop up.
Yes! My work BFF and I are sassy AF so we always proof each other’s questionable emails haha
Part 2: when I returned to my computer after going to the bathroom, the partner (who is aware of the awful client's behavior and understands the reason I'm leaving the project) sends me an email saying, "the client is paying you to be here, so please do not work on non-client activities. They can see you working on non-client work".
I was extremely upset because 1) I wasn't working on anything and 2) why would he accuse me of doing this without asking?
Soooo, I sent an email back saying, "While I understand that client perception is important, I'd ask that you please not levy accusations against me from others who are" sneaking peaks" at my laptop without checking with me first. I was not working on any other items outside of client work."
Should I be worried about retaliation? Was I in the wrong for defending myself?
He's in a different practice and I'll likely not have to work with him again, but he has connections with a lot of people in my practice. Please note I'm a former HR professional who ALWAYS keeps a paper trail, which is why I responded (albeit, very directly) in writing and not in person.
