Perhaps PwC1 was commenting on my being a bit slow to reply over the past few days. If so, apologies. I, like many of you, took a trip over the long weekend, so had less time than usual. And my wife doesn't let me Fishbowl at dinner!

Except here....

This isn't a question...

Hi friends I recently joined one company. They offered 16lpa CTC. But in their official portal it's 1599996. I know it's only 4rs is not there. But still whether I can ask them or not about this issue. And also there is changes in basic pay other allowances also..

Any idea???

anyone knows which agency is working on Sainsbury’s?

Hi all,

Can anyone please explain me what is higher education policy in SAP labs CTC

We are Pi, Amsterdam?

Hi All! Are there any places hiring for Business Analyst, Customer Success, Consulting positions?
Thank you in advance!

Really need to hear that my dream of being at a traditional agency after doing digital for the last few years isn't impossible and I can do it. 😒

Best agency in Chicago?

Hey Everyone - Does Google usually give a rejection after a first round RRK over a call? I have one next week but assumed if it was good news they would have said over email...

For LinkedIn, is it better to list all the agencies you’ve freelanced at during a given time as one paragraph, or as individual jobs so that each shiny agency icon is showcased?

Random thought - studying for Audit (specifically fraud factors) and just reminded me of that time when Jim and Dwight from the Office created a fictitious employee to get a higher commission 😂

Partners - any idea when hiring freeze will be done away and h1s are entertained?

Rolex resizing - AD or DIY? Have heard stories of ADs scratching bracelets or stripping screws. Maybe I’m a bit OCD, but I wonder if it’s better to do it myself to mitigate any damage. Any recommendations?

Silly little thing, but I've started packing a lunch to the hospital again. Saving money, and so, so much healthier

Moved from consulting to industry early this year but into reagents vs core life sciences. I've reported to 3 different people so far due to exits, mat leaves, secondment etc. so haven't made much progress so far in terms of what I was brought in to do. Our team is collaborative, and the team SME is quite strong headed. I end up making multiple iterations to my work (reviewed by 3 people so far) and feel like my point is never taken and always refuted. Is this what industry is like?

What is Sidley’s sports group like?

Anyone attended the entry level associate training at Grant Thornton? How many weeks is the training? Is it remote or inperson? Is it efficient?

I am potentially able to get in front of 4-5 of the “right people” to potentially take over some 401k plans. I have never ventured into this area. Any suggestions on where to start for...continued

Joined an early stage finance and accounting tech company. We are growing rapidly but have absolutely failed to bring on the people to handle the growth. Myself and my team are Feeling completely overrun. We have communicated the need for help but I think our company is not paying up to attract talent. How should I think about this issue? I have gone out of my way to highlight the issues in the process and propose solutions but we don’t have resources to implement. (Not still at pwc, old info)

Hi fishes,

Many companies are now having leet code rounds. I m good at what i do but in leet coding i m not able to clear. Its so frustrating.
Any suggestion?

Hey Partners! How has your Work life balance changed when you transitioned to PPMD from SM? Was it considerably better? More time with family? Which position would you equate with more hours/stress?

Best way to stand out as a young associate who wants to someday be Partner? And would like to minimize the time it takes to get there if possible...

Partners, have any one of your managers change relationship partner from you to someone else? How did you take it and how the relationship developed afterwards? Thanks

Partners, what’s the best question an analyst/junior resource has asked you?

Partners, are you confident in predicting who will become partner within the firm? Is there a specific level where any predictions become relevant?

Lost a high performing SM to an industry job earlier this month. They were on track to becoming a Partner in 2022 but still decided to take an industry job which pays $400K. I tried to explain that they would make $600K as a first year partner and the income can go up to $1M in next 5-6 years. They still refused to stay in consulting because they think that becoming a Partner is just the beginning of the rat race and did not want to deal with sales/revenue targets for the next 20 years 😔😔

I’d love to hear from partners on how you ideally like your team to dress. I’m a new male manager. Wears BR suits.
What’s ur firm? Expensive suits, watches, bags are preferred for manager? Min spend?

Partners, can you tell when someone is either looking for other jobs or about to quit? What are the tell-take signs?

MDs/Top Brass, need your insight. I perform well in most functions, the only thing my MD has given me direct feedback on is speaking up more at client meetings. I personally hate...

Consensus says the level right below partner is the most difficult step. How grueling did you find being this director / associate principal / junior partner at your firm? How did you weigh the tradeoffs between jumping to another sector versus staying on? Did you assume some probability of not making it to the next level?

Anyone planning to be at US Open?

What percentage of questions you're asked are actually good questions? Assuming it's low... What do you wish we'd ask?

I’m a senior in advisory at a B4 firm. I’m aiming for partner, but secretly would like to be part of firm leadership. Is there anything I should do differently on my way up the ladder?

We’re working with Chick-fil-A and I’ve received pushback from two separate people about being staffed on the project because of CFA’s stance on LGBTQ issues. (cont’d)

After much consideration I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s time to move on to something else for two main reasons, 1) I don’t want the unpredictable travel anymore and 2) I don’t want to be...

How many of you see a recession coming and what do you anticipate will happen to staff ?

I know some of you may not be old enough to answer a question like this, but any of you start your careers in the 80s? I ask this because during an internship I had a year ago I met an older guy who worked for the company I interned at who told me back in the day, the big 8 firms used to be way different. The partners would do coke in the office, they would go day drinking with the clients etc. I'm not sure if he was full of it or telling the truth. Does anyone know if it was like that?

To what degree is your bonus based on your vs firm performance? Is it taking annual or multi-year average revenue into account?

On Friday, I have some ‘walk-and-talk’ networking stuff going on with my partners boss for one hour, just the two of us, in order or facilitate trust and the new equation and so on. Something HR has set up. Any suggestions of interesting topics I can talk about?

Do you send your kids to public or private schools? Suburbs or downtown?
