No clue. I’d recommend asking in the partner bowl though ... and finding a partner (or a few) at MBB that are also veterans and having a chat

If you are already a reasonably senior partner bringing in decent revenue (~5m), undergrad won’t matter and you’ll be brought in as a partner Junior partner with low / no revenue is a harder sell, and will likely be asked to take a step back one level before partner This is a total guess since I am not a partner or in recruiting

I would think without at least your undergrad there’s slim to no chance. Take advantage of your GI Bill. Get your degree in a business field paid for while you get BAH. Then apply - still will be tough to get in but I would be willing to bet it’s almost impossible without an undergrad. Also, thank you for your service. I’m a Veteran myself and this is how I broke into consulting.

TBH I’m really not interested in getting an undergrad degree at this point when I could continue to advance my career instead. I’ve been out ten years in December. Thanks friend, it was a pleasure to serve. You too.

Looking at just the comp / growth / exit perspective, would you be better off going for a UMM operating role or LMM investment role (interests lie w deal team but experience screams operator)? Offer from operations comes in high - MBB/Harvard alum on Op team. LMM Associate offer lower all-in than 3YOE consultant base comp at T2, but is with deal team. Any advice is much appreciated!

For folks exiting to FAANG / Product at start ups or really any hot company. How do you go about networking to get the interview? I’ve been passively looking for jobs but zero luck, I only want to leave for the right fit. Big 4 here so feel my brand won’t auto get me an interview like mbb/t2

Hi fishes - I’m with an MBB as a 2y Partner looking to move to B4, for a bunch of reasons. In active conversations with two of them. While compensation levels seem similar for now, the other posts on this bowl suggest we end up making more at B4 than MBB. (Referring to the 1.5M number of a y4 partner at b4). What is the real trajectory that people here have seen at B4? And how much of that is bonus - base - other components?

They REALLY prioritize their employees, and the benefits are absolutely incredible. I hear a lot about toxic EA cultures at *certain* other companies and Snap just does not do that. Why do people want to work for UMM/MF? I feel likes it’s a rat race follow the heard mentality with little long term upside (you get paid a bunch for two years but then what?). I’m really keen to go the MM but feel like I’m making a mistake the way my friends talk about it…. In my mind a small younger growing fund is such a better opportunity — more learning, exposure, promotional potentially, and, hopefully, culture. What am I missing?
