Put in my two week notice at my agency today and feel the most at peace i have felt in so long. Even though I haven’t been with the agency for a year I have no regrets and know I made the right decision for my mental health.

In August of 2019, I hit rock bottom. I was working at a T1 law firm as a summer associate, and was constantly drinking (before work, during work, and of course at all the after work social events). Things got so bad for me someone reported my drinking to HR and an investigation was launched. I have been sober since. About a year ago I took a job closer to home (7.5miles). My previous position is about 50miles away, but I worked there for 11.5 years. Hi SpEd Teachers, is anyone else facing EXTREME staff shortages as a result of state funding? We are not able to meet my students' IEP requirements (not even close) due to not enough paraprofessionals and the district flat out refusing to hire more. I've lost 70+ hrs/week of para hours over the past few years and my students are really suffering. This leaves our district open to lawsuits, but the real problem is the state's education budget. What can we do?? This isn't going to fix itself.
