Concealed is concealed. I regularly go into the office with a Glock 19, and nobody has noticed. The people who are freaked out by the concept don’t have the awareness or the knowledge to ID a CCW
Had two instances in my life where I was very, very thankful I had my weapon on me.

Interesting. I admire your confidence and willingness to share but will say this:
The moment the first shot rings out, everyone else tends to immediately flee. Nobody expects a would-be victim to retaliate. It also takes very, very little for a man to physically overpower a woman — you are incredibly fortunate it did not happen in either scenario, particularly the home invasion, which is one of *the* most dangerous encounters possible.
I understand this is a moral difference, but I am intrigued by your statement of “the small chance I do get killed is better than killing someone.” I don’t think or see the world that way. If there’s a violent aggressor who attacks me or those dear to me, even over property, I refuse to let them have their way with my life. I have no compunction or mercy for grievously injuring or killing them. I don’t seek violence, but when there are no other options, I am not afraid to use it to maximum effect.
Wish we had the spine to prohibit guns in this country—or at the very least do major fun regulation, but odds aren’t looking good.
Because it works so wonderful like it did in New York Chicago and DC

OP definitely practices drawing his gun and saying “you’ve got the wrong one today pal” in front of his bathroom mirror at least once a week

NGL OP is funny as hell. I’d stay far away if you were in my office and I saw you with a gun tho lol
Pretty sure that’s 100% unacceptable if a partner told you it’s against company policy. I would be terrified to know that one of my coworkers (who could become disgruntled themselves) had a weapon on them. I hope someone at your company figures this out before anything bad happens

SA you can legally obtain a weapon and not have a CCL/training on it.

I feel really sad that you live in so much fear.
I’ve had my house robbed at gunpoint before and I’ve experienced suicidal thoughts/urges that spurred up in a matter of hours that I didn’t think was possible, or had much control over. I calmed down the next day, and haven’t experienced it since. How the brain works in those situations isn’t often talked about or prepared for.
Why winter. What are you gonna do shoot the cold weather?

No, but they love easy access to firearms.
Have you considered a large knife?

It ain't about the size of the knife, it's about the efficiency of the slice

Really people? Only the bad guys should have guns?
Ew EY6 that’s a very toxic comment. Analyze yourself.

@OP, tbh (and I CC), it was probably best you just never said anything.
All the individuals on here that don’t understand anything about guns. I want to put this out there.
If you have a CCL (concealed carry license) you are finger printed, and fully background check vetted, pay the fee, and wait. Prints are with the feds too. That being the case (no I don’t have the stats) that unlikely an individual to go psycho in the office, would probably be unrealistic. Why would a CCL holder go above and beyond to “stay within the law” want to ruin their life by doing something dumb?
The individual who you are calling “oMg shOot up tHe OffiCe” is more then likely NOT going to follow the rules and regs to get a CCL. They will get gun, then immediately commit the crime they are intended.
OP I'm guessing you're going off of the assumptions that liberals don't like guns and conservatives do? I've seen posts on gun/politics before, you'll be surprised to find liberals do indeed own and enjoy guns.
Your post however seems more about you ignoring company policy than gun ownership and politics.
You’re too much of a wimp to be an attorney if you need to walk around with a gun 🤡
What a clown ass take
I hear ya, OP. That’s why I WFH. I was attacked in college and hate going anywhere without carrying. I still follow applicable laws because I like not being in jail and the right to vote. If company says you can’t carry at their place, I’d bring pepper spray or a taser or something.
SpringfieldXDS .9mm. 16+1 in chamber. Handle safety. Carries and shoots well. Absolutely love it
OP, if your boss asked you not to then don’t. Don’t be the weirdo. You’re gonna come straight off as paranoid and untrustworthy if anyone finds out.
Just because someone has gone through the process to be licensed to carry a gun doesn’t mean they’re 100% hyper vigilant about it. The neighborhood kids stole my neighbors gun out of his unlocked car and shot it in a nearby parking lot. Just seems to cause more problems than it solves.
Doesn’t matter how much you train. All it takes is one slip up. Saw a video of a vet that travels the country giving speeches on gun safety. He left his loaded Glock in his backpack going through TSA. Luckily a non-issue. Security and the cops handled it very professionally with little delay but that’s all it takes.

I wouldn't have mentioned it to my co-workers or the partners. Some people don't like being around guns.
I keep a glock in my office. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
Better judged by 12 than carried by 6
