Few questions I had:
1. How many rounds of negotiation can I expect? I had my first call with the hiring manager last week and he wants to wrap things up this coming week.
2. I’m guessing I’m under the 14 grade. Anyone have the range for a HCOL city?
3. What other benefits should I discuss?

At PwC it was about year 7-8. The first five years are on the new partner grid, but you can come off earlier for top performers. Normally it takes 2-3 years after you get off the NP grid to get enough shares to hit the $1M mark. My sense is that the B4 in general is much quicker to take shares for poor performance or quality issues than before. Conversely, the top positions in the B4 firms have seen their total Comp skyrocket over the last few years.
70% variable comp. In B4 mostly non variable.
More than 50% don’t make above $1M in a given year and maybe less than 10% make it every year . It usually takes 4-5 years to get to first $1M year from what I know
Many partners in many firms will never get there. Year 4. Yes.
Really? I was under impression that hitting the $1M mark was quite common. At EY, may be more like year 10 partner.
What % of partner income is typically salary vs variable comp? I need that 🥕 to run towards on the low days
