Wondering how accurate is it? I am sure the above numbers would require upward inflation adjustment to be applicable today.

1st year Associate at a small firm. I recently picked up a contract position that pays well for one day of work a week plus a couple hours scattered throughout the week. The partners have decided to cut my salary by roughly 35%. They pushed for me to take this contract position but did not discuss any salary reduction until after I accepted the position. I’m not onboard with the direction our engagement partner is taking. I’m aware that I could very well be wrong, but I would still like to respectfully disagree.

Big4 and Mid tier- All partners have a vesting period and if you leave before that 10 year mark , you dont get those retirement benefits correct? I noted some firms actively push out partners nearing that 10 year period. I have seen it happen. Partners, how does it work when a SM like myself supports MDs and their BD teams write killer proposals (I'm a SME in a specific tech) and we win major work (last 4 months alone, I've contributed to $20M in sales). Prior to me joining we lost a lot projects in this tech because we didn't have someone like me to contribute and sure the proposals were technically sound. Anyway, do I get a bonus? A raise? Nothing?
