Looking for career advice!
Im a new starter in FDD as a Senior, qualified and am sitting for CFA L2. I want to make sure I'm doing everything right to maximise my chances of landing a FO role in a PE/Fund or ER/M&A role at an BB/EB.
A few I've heard so far:
- Get infra deals exp
- Network aggressively
- Leave within 1 yr
JPMorgan Chase Morgan Stanley Goldman Sachs Citi Bank of America Barclays Credit Suisse RBC KKR Blackstone TPG Apollo Global Management, LLC Bain Capital Warburg Pincus
Not the platinum card I was looking for.

Good thing my role doesn’t get bonuses so I don’t have to think about this
Don’t give them a chance. You could find yourself getting walked early before the date and then being strong armed for that bonus. Wait til the 9th.
Read the terms and play on the safe side. They may consider your notification date and not the last day you plan to work. If you’re moving to a competitor, they let you go as soon as you give notice.
I’d also wait until your background check clears and you’re fully cleared to join to give notice, then choose your start date from there. Based on that timing, you may be clear of that clause.
I’d wait.
Most likely. Read exactly what the agreement says, but if you’re an employee through that date, sounds like you’d be fine.

Wait to give your two weeks until the 8th or even the 9th.
Wait until December 9 unless the new company wants you to start earlier - including that they would cover any payback you need to make.
Definitely wait till December 9th
Do whats been said ☝️(9th). If u must start at new place say 15, you can give 2 weeks notice from 9th and act sick starting 15th. Who cares about 2 weeks
