Hanging v. not hanging diplomas in office?
Hi IBM sharks 🦈
So I got interviewed for a project by the IBM team. The interviewer told me that its a go ahead from their end, now the client will assess my profile and if they too are fine with it, I will be onboarded?
Is it true that we have client interview as well? If yes then after how many days of interview by IBM team, client interview takes place?
Or its just that if the IBM team is fine with it, we are selected for the project?
Any inputs on this will really help :)
Hi all,
I just came to realise Deutsche Bank has a fixed rule of max 30 to 35 % hike on fixed component and remaining 10 to 15% variable i.e. total 50% max hike you can ask for no matter how good, skilled you are.
Is it true?

@OP: You and your wife are “paying” way more than $12k in taxes (probably $50k plus). If you are under-withheld by $12k, that just means you had the use of that money until now—theoretically a win. But did you put anything aside?
Why would you want to file separately? In general you will do better with a joint return.
Yeah. I get that. Me and my husband see that in our paychecks. Doesn’t make it less painful.
We are married filing jointly making over $225 and got nearly $12k back in federal. All about how much you pay each paycheck. Having a kid helps too.
Yeah a kid really helps.
I got 6k back, but had to pay 120k to do so, so not totally pumped on that either.
I made 320k freelancing, which I can’t complain about, but dem taxes is brutal.
Yep. Married joint filing almost always requires more than is held with a zero claim.
😭😭😭😭😭😭
as a single person, what's really the difference between married filing jointly vs separately?
If you file jointly there are various credits that will save you significant dollars. Especially if you have children. It’s not always the case, but usually it’s the better way to go.
We make $200K joint and had to pay $6k this year :( blah
SO blah.
It’s pretty easy to update your w-4 so you don’t owe. You’re going to pay the taxes either way...you can do it through your paycheck or owe it all at once. I prefer not having to save the money and owe a huge chunk at once.

I withhold the max amount each year. Tax day is a payday for me. Much better scenario than paying. I don’t even miss it during the year.
If you’re making that much it shouldn’t be painful.
It sucks to underwithold, but I have a hard time sympathizing with folks griping about taxes when they're pulling in a quarter mil
Not looking for sympathy :)
Your tax rate is less than 10%
Naah. They cut out a bunch from our paycheques already this was additional.
