There aren't any MacBooks with touch displays so if you're looking for an "all-in-one" device, I would encourage you to look into the Microsoft Surface Pro 4. I've heard great things about its utility. That being said, I have an early 2015 MacBook Pro and it's better than any laptop I've ever owned by a country mile.

@P1 You obviously don't know many people who use Apple laptops. Most of the people I know who use a MacBook Pro regularly are software engineers, design engineers, hackers, etc. — people who definitely know their way around a computer and a variety of operating systems. MacOS is personally my preference because it's much better designed and, unlike Windows, has bash (terminal console) natively built into the OS because it's *nix based, which is crucial if you're doing technical work. If you use macOS like a noob, it also has the advantage of being idiot-proof, which is an added advantage as well (and probably why Windows users still carry the "Apple products are for dummies" stereotype). That doesn't mean it's not a fantastic OS. And don't even get me started on the physical build quality or the beautiful display...

Apple people won't know how to turn on a Windows tablet or a Lenovo PC. I never heard of a Microsoft store either. If it was me, I would get a new system, universal hard drive readers, and rip out the drives of all these and do it myself.

Do it yourself with cloud or external HD. Use external screen for Lenovo or mount HD on another machine.

Oh, one more thing, it's well known that Apple products hold their resale value much better than competing products. I read somewhere credible (I forget where, it was a long time ago) that a used MacBook, on average, holds 50% of its retail value after 5 years. That's not going to happen with a regular Windows laptop.

Thanks all - I should clarify: I have no interest in consolidating hard drives. Too little free time and PC competence. I don't care about touch screen or portability either - I'll keep my tablet for that. I just want a stable home PC where I can keep my pictures and important docs, and where I can work on weekends when needed. Wife knows Apple and we both know PC - I guess we'll work that out.

I just wouldn't let the staff of any store touch your data. It's not clear to me if that's what you're proposing, but I wanted to get my IA 2 cents in there.

First trimester. I can only eat only meal a day and some light snacks. And all I feel like eating is carbs and fizzy drinks; french fries, chips, fried chicken, bread, nuts and some fruits. I know this is really unhealthy but how do I bring myself to have proteins and greens.
PS: I do get nausea and constipation but I never vomit. Just don’t feel like eating anything.

I have joined a start-up.
It's all good except for the fact that they don't adhere to the end time sometimes.
They schedule team meetings even after the end time and nobody objects to it.
I don't like it as I'm losing my personal time. I'm hesitant to say coz others r ok with it.
Can I just speak up and not attend the meetings ?

Something I’m struggling with as it relates to the rise of the “Karens”. I get it, Karens suck and are very real but why is it that women always have to deal with this kind of stereotype? Men, especially Trumpian white men, are just as bad about their own privilege. Maybe they handle it differently or maybe people are less inclined to record them? I don’t know. But somehow it feels like yet another divide between women. Just wish we could make it less about gender and more about privilege.

Hello I'm currently a Consultant in my second year at Accenture. Prior to that I had 10 years in industry. I had an initial conversation with TCS regarding an Industry Advisor position. Second interview scheduled for this week. I currently have a comp of 120, told them I'd be looking at 160 which was not an issue..

With that said can anybody shed some insight on what the move to TCS would be as Industry Advisor from the consultant with Accenture? Is that a level between M and SM at Accenture?
