I have been working with EY for around 1 year now. My current package is 3.6 LPA which i feel like very much under paid as i joined after completing Mcom. I got onboarded as a staff 1. How much should be the market standard salary and position that i should be getting. Can anyone please help in getting an idea as i am really feeling like i am getting no result even after doing a lot of hardwork into delivering high quality work.

The biggest spot I'm interested in within tech is Fintech (by a good margin), but given the current environment (layoffs), I'm a big worried. Guessing I should be looking at late stage startups / large banks?

Do you ever feel like you’re just never going to experience real love or be that ‘special someone’ for somebody? I sometimes feel like I am defective in some way, because despite being in my early 30s, I have never felt particularly special to any guy I have been with- it’s always felt like I am the space filler until they meet the right person

I'm an engineer, and I feel like my manager is more of a friend than anything else. We talk about our personal lives, and I feel like it's hard to be completely honest with her when she's so casual with me. I don't want to lose our friendship, but I also need to be able to talk honestly with someone who has the power to help me grow professionally. Is there a way to have both?

Hey all - first year associate here… I’ve met my hours requirement for this year (requirement is 1900 and am currently at around 2050 with billable hours - approx. 2160 with non billable admin hours) and I am just tired. Is it okay to just “disappear” during the holidays (thanksgiving week, week of Christmas) and let partners and senior associates know I am not available? At this point I don’t care about making more money - I just want to sleep, read a good trashy book, and cuddle with my dog.

McKinsey/BCG folks - work wise, have heard a few times that the most apparent difference with both firms is the management style. Mck adopts a more top-down approach whilst BCG a bottom-up. Would you say this is true? Would love to hear your stories too!

Hi, looking for some pointers. The most expensive watch I have bought so far is a Tag - Aqua Racer, from many years ago. I feel like getting a slightly nicer watch, and am researching the following:
1. Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra
2. Rolex Datejust
3. Grand Seiko - not narrowed to specific models

Price range: no more than 10K, but prefer to keep ~$6K. Like watches in the ~40mm size and not too many complications - i.e. more “elegant”

Would appreciate any guidance on how to think about options

I’m a woman, looking for a good everyday, first watch. I like the Rolex Lady Datejust with fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet, and the Cartier Panthere. But I want something to start with to see if I’ll even wear a watch before diving into Rolex and Cartier. Any suggestions? Budget: $1000, 6inch wrist.

Two “watches for consultants” from my personal collection. Aka watches for people who travel. These lesser known watches offer a ton of features, and come in under $500 each. Yes, they’re not Rolex/GS/Omega GMTs, and some will call the dials “too busy” and truthfully I won’t wear them as much as I used to now that I have automatic luxury pieces, but I think they’re great value and great wear if you’re worrying about coming off as too pretentious. Looking into vintage 50-60s Omegas. If the description states 'original dial, crown, crystal, movement...' but makes no explicit note of the caseback, is it implied that the caseback is not original?
