Be factual, give examples. Don’t make it personal.
Brutal makes it seem like either it’s personal or you’re part of the problem. You can be direct and blunt without crossing the line.
Just talk about work, not your personal feelings. If their work sucks, say so. If you hate the way they speak, don't.
Constructive. Don’t let your emotions get in the way.
"Despise" seems personal. Keep it constructive.
i say give them a big smooch right on the lips and say “you will never be able to prove this.” works every time!
Be honest but throw some compliments too. The criticism will be more believable because more measured. So it will be more effective and make you look trustworthy. “I know it comes from a good place...” “He must be overwhelmed / might lack support...” “He can be great in meetings...” And then strike.
I always pull my punches on reviews. Their work speaks for itself. I’d feel like a snitch throwing someone under the bus.
Facts and examples. I’m sure there’s a reason you dislike this person, just make sure it’s all factual and can be backed up with solid examples. Refrain from giving your opinion of this person or their work. Your examples will do more than enough if they are true and factual
Only state facts. Honest facts. And give actual examples to support.
Can’t help but can definitely sympathize. There’s coworker I just.... ah, no bueno.
Generally speaking, you’re likely not the only person who feels similarly. Don’t feel like a martyr. You can’t expect someone to improve if you don’t flag work issues.
Bias is a bad advisor.
Also, think about how you want to be evaluated by others. Know that not everyone likes you out there either.
