Best health investment I’ve made... I’ve had mine for almost a year and canceled an equinox membership for it. The non-cycle classes add variation.
If you like to cycle, yes! I got one and wasn’t a huge fan of cycle classes to being with but thought it could change me. It didn’t and I returned it!
Ok well with the 30 day home trial I just pulled the trigger. Was surprised that my scheduled delivery is 11/7, figured it would be like 2 months

I like it, have had it about a month now. I think a key thing is finding instructors you enjoy riding with. Another thing that is overlooked is all the other non bike classes that come with the membership, there are some awesome yoga and strength classes.
We bought one at the beginning of the pandemic and got lucky scoring some bowflex dumbbells. I think I am in better cardiovascular shape now than before the pandemic and I am an avid runner. I did stop running entirely and use the Peloton nearly every day. It is the best health investment my wife and I ever made.
My husband and I ordered one and it will be delivered the first week of November. I am so excited. Any body have anything to recommend class wise?
My go-to instructor is always Robin, both for the bike and strength classes! Really upbeat energy that helps push you through the workout.
We got one in March during the first week of COVID (could tell quickly we wouldn’t be back to our regular workout classes anyyyyytime soon). It’s been OK, but I bought the SoulCycle at home bike in September because it’s more my style. My husband likes the Peloton more. If you’re more into a rhythm ride, the music, and less metric based, highly suggest checking out the Soul bike. If you’re more interested in metrics and more in the saddle riding, get a Peloton
They had a free 90 day trial of their app at the beginning of the pandemic. I went through it and fell in love with the strength and stretching classes (hell yeah to Andy’s strength program!).
I used the app so consistently, that I thought that leveling up to the bike might be a good next step for my home fitness (particularly since I live in a densely populated city and just wasn’t comfortable with running outside anymore). I used to be a flywheel fanatic and really was missing the cardio and cycling.
I caved, bought the bike and haven’t looked back. It’s especially good on those days where I’m just feeling lazy. It’s so easy to hop on and just do a quick low impact ride or something or just casually riding while watching a movie. It also includes a lot of metrics, so if you’re competitive, there’s opportunity to keep that competitive atmosphere alive!
I love mine! I do a variety of classes to keep it interesting, but my staple classes are their Power Zone classes. Seeing my progress with my FTP test (basically a fitness test) over time keeps me motivated and engaged. If you end up getting one, you can use my a referral code to get $100 off accessories - XXP9TT
I have been really happy with the purchase. I am an avid cyclist and was initially very skeptical. My wife and I both like a good spin class but I much prefer riding on the road or using Zwift. Now we both are on the cycle classes almost daily and as well as the other classes that come with the subscription (yoga, cardio, strength, etc). There are 5 minute family brain break classes that I do with my kids during breaks in their zoom classes. If you like spin classes and can afford it I highly recommend.
I love spin classes but I got bored of working out solo at home. I returned it.
Best investment I’ve made. I also rode cyclebar 4-6x a week prior to Covid and this is a game changer. Saves so much time but there is such a diverse workout offering both on and off the bike. They just released bike bootcamps which would be similar to OTF. but the strength classes and even running classes have diversified my workout routine more than ever.
I just got mine in this weekend but I am still waiting on my shoes. Any other classes you all recommend?
Piggy backing on this, anybody buy the latest gen model? Trying to decide if its worth the extra cost
I feel like I’m all over this post, but I’m very excited about this topic!
They announced the new bike when I was 2 weeks away from receiving my bike. At the time I was like, I’ve already waited 2 months, I’m not waiting any longer. I’m not going to switch to Bike+, but I feel like it’s worth it, if you plan to pair workouts. I often pair some strength with my rides. I’ve been more and more just using the bike video to play the strength classes, but it’s hard maneuvering around so that I can see the screen/instructor at the same time. I’m also jealous that it pairs with Apple Watch, because right now I have to start an activity on my watch everytime so that I can close my activity rings.
I purchased a spin bike just before Peloton came on the market. I use the app but since COVID I miss the connectivity of being part of a live class, on the leader board, etc. - I used to ping pong from home, SoulCycle and the local gym. I’m planning to get one for Christmas. Hopefully a certified pre-owned model since the new model came out.
You could buy a pretty sweet actual road or gravel bike for what those things cost, and then boredom wouldn’t be an issue.
What makes me upset? That I just prefer more value for my money? My “local routes” include front range areas like Green Mountain, Lookout Mountain, and Bear Creek Canyon. I don’t think I’m exhausting Lookout Mountain or Bear Creek... but they definitely exhaust me. 🤣
At any rate, riding our local routes to the point you’re tired of them is 1,000,000,000x better than sitting on a stationary bike watching the peloton app.
I have invested in the Peloton. I think they are great bikes.
What does everyone’s peloton set up look like?
Love it!
