I do! I make ~80k, 3 yrs out of college. I'm told I'm underpaid, but it is what it is. I'm learning new skills and working on finding a new role, but being very intentional about where I want to apply.

You’re not doing anything wrong!
Comparison is the thief of joy. The reason we’re all openly sharing our $ is to help break down that financial divide. I mean, the only ones who benefit from keeping pay secret are companies.
I make 80k, but 5yrs ago, out of college, I was making 32k and I had 5 roommates. It was tough, but the sacrifice allowed me to save and focus on increasing my skills to move up in the ranks. All for the purpose of making more $$.
Cost of living is key for me. Salary # won’t matter if you can’t afford your bills.
80k and struggling to live in nyc

I make 6 figures but feel like it’s never enough. We’ll never be happy with what we have and will always want more and more and more.
agreed. did 60k to 115k in less than a year and I thought it’d make a large difference in my life, and it hasn’t. I’m just able to save for retirement in a comfortable way.
Ya. Me. $70k
70k and severely underpaid (so currently looking for a new position). It’s easy to feel that we’re “doing” something wrong, but I try to remind myself that I still make above avg salary compared to a lot of folks. Also, (my opinion ofc), I feel like a majority of ppl on this app are all higher-than-average earners so it’s not the best sample to compare yourself to. If you’re happy and relatively content with job and salary, you’re doing it right for yourself!
I make 65k but am interviewing for an 80k position on Monday, which is a big jump for me. Youre right though some of these folks have laughably big salaries in comparison to me.
You should take it. Your current f agency is taking advantage of you. You can leave for a couple of years and then go back with a much higher salary. Happens all the time.
I did before McK

Me! I’m trying to get out of customer service! I have no clue how to pivot! Been on many interviews and don’t get them because someone else has experience, yet I hear about people who pivoted with no issue! I’m working on my Google cert for PM and start a 2nd job as a PT supervisor Monday so this should help me. I will also say that I’ve had leadership that didn’t aid in my growth. Now I’m at two new jobs and will be looking for career growth after 6 months to get that money. I’m trying to at least get to 70k

Thank you!

$40/hr, but before this I was making $250/month and working much more intense hours, so I'm shooting higher but grateful for what I have now
That is brutal. Congratulations on the new job!
I'm at 85K right now. 1YoE. Would love more $$ but I guess we'll get there soon. Just build on exp and expertise on your field.
Not sure where you live but also keep in mind a lot of people in these bowls are in v HCOL cities. Obviously COL is increasing and housing is going insane rn everywhere but salaries aren't really reflecting that. I know for a fact if i had the same position i have now at my company's NYC office i would be 6 figures if you factor in bonuses. Anytime someone is bragging about 6 figures at 21 or however old, ask where they live

It’s highly dependent on what field you’ve gone into! What are you in?

Wow… reading all these comments. 36k CAD annually as team lead after college. Basically no Canadian professional work experience when I got this. 26yo for context. 🥺
I supervise a team of 14 people and we do data entry. I am basically a bit of everything from DE, onboarding the employees, technical issues, emails and whatnot. (Very high turnover that training I do with new hires is almost nonstop) - wfh too which makes several things extra challenging

80K 3 years out of undergrad
85k in California
I work at UIC part-time and the money I make there is just fun money, I couldn't live off of it. I make 3 times more working in health tech.
Me too. Been doing it for over 10 years now. Easy 15-20k on the side each year.
Made 65k right out of grad school
