Glassdoor can give you an idea based on the title one might have 5 years out of undergrad

Houston - probably $110 - $120

Spot on M1.

Chicago - I make 105k

Senior associate in what?

If you’re an auditor at a big 4 or regional firm and you’re 5 years in, I’d say most are in the ball park of $75-120k. No less than 70k though.

That’s more than I make

Should I be concerned about the language in an offer letter of “we intend to recommend that you be granted, subject to the board, RSUs of $xyz” does that mean I may not be granted the RSUs? The RSUs are part of the negotiated total comp… Thinking this might just be boilerplate?

Looking at an offer from a Series E startup and trying to figure out if this is worth it. I’m at 2 years post-MBA at a Big 4 (current TC right around 200k). New TC would be right around 200k, but would be like a 25% reduction in base - I like the role and the team but I dunno if that kind of base reduction is common for consulting exits? I see a lot of TC improvements, but wondering if those folks see a base jump too? Thanks!

Got a zoom link for interview. Checked zoom link about 1 hour before interview time to ensure it works. Turns out it’s the link to the interviewer’s room where he’s holding an unrelated meeting with other people, there was no passcode, so I quickly exited. No webcam or audio on from my side. Cause for concern? I would think best practice is private zoom link with code to enter…

I didn’t go to t-14 but excelled at my school, but I can’t help but feel completely inadequate in my position, feel like I know absolutely nothing about the area I’m in and am struggling with research assignments, and generally just assume the older associates think I’m just not that smart. Anybody else over working in the rat race altogether? I’ve jumped around a few times in the last 5 years, improving my comp and aligning more to my strengths and interests, yet I’m still unfulfilled. I’m pretty much doing exactly what the last 20 years of being in consulting has prepared me for: advising clients at the highest levels - and I’m bored. I’d love to leave and take up a more creative job, but of course, that doesn’t pay the bills - anybody think of, or actually made that transition?
