People in the early part of career, do you love what you do and would work till 60, or would try for early retirement?

Never! Trying to change from currently where I am!

I do enjoy what I do, but would like to use the money I earn to invest to make passive income

Agreed, scalping and swing trading are hard to learn but so fruitful and great sources of passive income.

Early retirement for sure. I have to leave my job by 30 and I'm almost 29, so the clock is ticking for me!

How much is your corpus if you're retiring at 30? Do you have any passive income apart from stocks?

Early retirement!!

Always early retirement! It is possible with the right investments.

I think what everyone said is true, working towards passive income is probably the way. Or make your side hustle the real hustle, because I enjoy mine and would be happy to do that until I feel like I'm out of energy etc

Was upset with raise. Just got a text from mom. Dad is in the hospital. Called. She says he's fine. Can't believe I was bummed about my raise. As if slightly more money matters.

For those, who are immigrants, what made you stay in New York? Would be especially interested to hear from those who didn’t come for economical reasons. I am told the excitement about the city wears off 😅 I am European, just came 2 years ago and am still loving it, but also start to wonder if staying in a job I don’t like it’s all worth it (I am on L1 visa, so no way to find a new job). Life in Europe isn’t too bad either.

With the holidays coming up, partners and client relationship owners, do you get your clients gifts? Pre-COVID we sent treats to the office, but most of my clients are still home. Would it be appropriate to send gifts directly to them? If so, any ideas on things/price limits?

I'd love to hear about what people are doing to stand out in providing feedback for candidates who made it to the final interview stage but did not make the offer.

Any suggestions for a gift I can give my wife? We just finished the first trimester with our first baby - she’s wanted this for a long time and I want to give her something nice .. thanks!

Considering an offer from Proskauer in its L&E department. Anything I should be aware of before accepting? Poor culture, any hostile or particularly unfriendly and demanding partners? From my research everything seems on the up and up. Any insight is appreciated.

Show of hands; who has been laid off because your agency lost a big client? Also, when you interviewed for your next job did you feel comfortable saying that? And do other agencies understand?

Stuck at the office today, and my partner can't sit still and focus on our project. It's driving me insane, and he keeps wanting to bail, prolonging our work. How do I tell him to chill and work?

How much do you slack off and not work during work

Has anyone ever interviewed at iProspect? Did you work with the recruiter, Alexander? What does the timeline typically look like?

Does anyone else here have a passion to eventually start your own company someday? I really just want to work for myself, be my own boss, make myself money, etc but I don’t know where to start. Should I start a side project on the side? Figure out what I’m passionate about, what can make me money, etc?

Any 🐠 looking to hire a consultant with S&O + M&A experience? I have a diverse range of experiences across industries and verticals and would be an invaluable resource to any team (my manager’s words, not mine). Interested primarily in tech or retail. Currently interviewing for two FANG positions in ops, but would love to expand my search! Thanks!

How is tech consulting in big 4 different from other consulting firms like ibm, capgemini etc?

Does Deloitte start GC process at senior level and is the PERM file for senior level or manager? Seems like EY’s policy is to file at senior level but for manager position. Wanted to understand Deloitte’s process.

I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
