People in the early part of career, do you love what you do and would work till 60, or would try for early retirement?

Never! Trying to change from currently where I am!

I do enjoy what I do, but would like to use the money I earn to invest to make passive income

Agreed, scalping and swing trading are hard to learn but so fruitful and great sources of passive income.

Early retirement for sure. I have to leave my job by 30 and I'm almost 29, so the clock is ticking for me!

How much is your corpus if you're retiring at 30? Do you have any passive income apart from stocks?

Early retirement!!

Always early retirement! It is possible with the right investments.

I think what everyone said is true, working towards passive income is probably the way. Or make your side hustle the real hustle, because I enjoy mine and would be happy to do that until I feel like I'm out of energy etc

Folks who’ve left ClearView, how is life on the other side, and how long did you stay before you jumped ship? It’s a week where I’m burning, and the fact that I feel so isolated during it makes me want to quit consulting altogether. Would also like to talk to some of you if possible. Never thought I’d say this but I honestly feel unhappy in my job, and I wonder if it is just WFH related - and whether it might get better once the office opens up.

Seems like this is a good place to get a reality check on what I am looking for in a position. I am trying to leave my current firm. I am a Senior Tax Accountant. Been the only Senior for a year. Not sure what the bonus is going to be next year (or if there will be any) since they are moving to a new bonus plan that is supposed to be more "fair and generous" We have a Safe harbor 401k plan. So get an automatic 3% contribution to 401K.

I have a return offer following my internship for an MBB in my home country in SE Asia. However, I want to stay in the US after my MBA (salary, relationship, network etc.). Would it make sense to get offers from T2s to put pressure on my company to enable a transfer? If so, how would I best play this card? I would likely pick any US firm over any MBB at home, given the financial considerations.
