For my Raymond James friends--how did you decide between W2 and 1099 channel? What were the main benefits that swayed you to which side? Was it the right move?
Folks who’ve left ClearView, how is life on the other side, and how long did you stay before you jumped ship? It’s a week where I’m burning, and the fact that I feel so isolated during it makes me want to quit consulting altogether. Would also like to talk to some of you if possible. Never thought I’d say this but I honestly feel unhappy in my job, and I wonder if it is just WFH related - and whether it might get better once the office opens up.
Anyone have some good or bad things to say about EY’s FSO Advisory (Banking group)? Culture, WLB, comp $, the people?
Anyone here know anything or someone who works at TCS (Tata Consulting Services)? Have an informational interview with them and don’t know anyone who has worked with them before
How do you improve selling-idea skill as an analyst? For example, if I have a tech idea, how do I communicate that to non-tech people (manager and above). Any learning resouces that I take a look? Books, videos, courses? :)
What’s the going salary for a new manager in the Atlantic coast? I’m seeing the low end on robert half’s salary guide is $87k. Any truth to that? Audit SL

Looking for reviews on Avalara Inc. Any inputs or feedback about the company & working there? Should we consider a position at manager+ level?
I’m the only person from my firm at the client site and having trouble connecting with people at client (people mostly just see me as an external “intruder”). Not personally bothered, but worried that it hurts perception/client relations. Any advice on how to get more social traction (e.g. get invited to lunch and stuff)?
How much is the base compensation for an enterprise architect specialist leader at Deloitte with more than 10 years of experience ?
For those of you who have gone the HR consulting route, any advice on starting out? I just fell into an opportunity that is too good to pass up. I'm not planning to leave my day job at this point, but I'm certainly interested in the prospect of growing a consultancy.
We started state testing today with my kiddos taking their FSA Writing. It is the first time I have seen them in school as they are a digital class, and such an amazing experience to see them together as they talked amongst themselves before we went to the classroom to test. You can see how much they miss being together. ❤
I will be teaching Chemistry this year in a modular classroom with no lab area. Any suggestions on a virtual lab option? We have chromebooks.
Seems like this is a good place to get a reality check on what I am looking for in a position. I am trying to leave my current firm. I am a Senior Tax Accountant. Been the only Senior for a year. Currently make $76k. Had a bonus of $4500 this year. Not sure what the bonus is going to be next year (or if there will be any) since they are moving to a new bonus plan that is supposed to be more "fair and generous" We have a Safe harbor 401k plan. So get an automatic 3% contribution to 401K.
I have a return offer following my internship for an MBB in my home country in SE Asia. However, I want to stay in the US after my MBA (salary, relationship, network etc.). Would it make sense to get offers from T2s to put pressure on my company to enable a transfer? If so, how would I best play this card? I would likely pick any US firm over any MBB at home, given the financial considerations.
