People on here seem to post about having been laid off whether they were fired or laid off. I pass 0 judgment, but does anyone else feel like there’s not a single person who comes on here and says he/she was fired. I would completely understand this language if this forum were not anonymous, but what’s with this, considering we’re all anonymous?

I know some actually were laid off, but for the others, are people just delusional or somehow embarrassed even though anonymous?

UK specific query - If my company cannot find me clients/work and want to dismiss me because they are unable to find work for me at no fault of my own do they have to provide a severance package?
UK law says it’s easy to dismiss employees with less than 2 years service but it’s a big grey area. Anyone got any experience with this?
