How much is retail supervisor pay this days?
It is a fine game of maximizing your utility and not creating an impression you are greedy and unreasonable . Typically as long as you can justify the ask with some logic and it is not over 15% and not less than 2% if the offer it is a safe try
Thank you!
Yes, counter after doing thorough research.
If they were able to offer you that much more, then your expectations were likely too low to begin with. And remember that you are negotiating your total compensation package, but just salary so think broadly as well.
Good luck & congrats on the offer
Thank you!!
Yes, you do that. You would never know the right number unless you calculate your needs, do market research, and negotiate.

It’s like a card game. You can either say “stay or hit me up”. The decision is entirely up to you. Remember, the worst they can say is no. You’d still have the offer you wanted in the first place.

It’s always a case by case basis. I had one job offer in which I was very happy with the salary but not happy with the PTO. I started with asking for $5k more, they said no “Ok I understand you can’t move on salary, how about another week off?” I got it!! Negotiators will budge or won’t, and if there is something highly important to you, feel free to stand your ground. You can always choose to accept the offer as is or turn it down.
It depends on your priorities: even higher pay? Peace of mind? No regrets in trying?
