Yes. But I have a weird name so I can’t blame them. I’m almost surprised when people get it right.
I would never spell someone’s name wrong, especially if it was difficult. Copy and paste is a helpful helpful tool folks.
I have been having this problem recently. I was always someone who didn’t care if my name was spelled right because it’s such a small thing. But when it’s in your signature and email, it seems deliberate. Plus I spend the extra seconds to make sure when I address someone, their name is spelled correctly, no matter how easy or difficult the name is. It’s their name, their identity. Your name is a huge part of you, the least people can do is spell is/say it correctly.

The question is why does it bother you so much.
Dang PwC 1, grow a backbone. Stand up for yourself.

The real question is, what’s your name? Let’s see how hard it is ;)

My last name is also a first name and people frequently mix those up.
I had this problem when I was an intern years ago. There was a senior who would constantly refer to me as a completely different name (same first letter, that’s it) in emails and when talking to other people. Several people corrected her or would say “who?” whoever she did it, but it never seemed to make a difference. Since I want an intern I just laughed it off but yeah it was annoying … i wonder what ended up happening to her

Must have a ridiculously complicated name let it go
Agreed, if it’s internal send them a message on google chat and politely call them out on it. If it’s a client, you may need to just let it go or tell them in person nicely if you see them
I have a coworker with this exact same problem. Her name isn’t hard but somehow even with it in her email address and signature, they spell it incorrectly. Whenever I notice it, I usually reach out to the person that misspelled her name via ping to kindly ask them to spell her name correctly going forward. This coworker says that it doesn’t bother her but I hate that her name is misspelled so often. Maybe see if someone on your team, preferably more senior than you, will reach out privately to the people misspelling your name to ask them to pay more attention. You’re correct. It’s definitely an inadvertent respect issue.
I don't use peoples' names in emails for this very reason. I just start typing! I'm sure some people don't like that!
