Don’t rush the recovery. It’ll take weeks to recover the sleep and energy (and any mental health impacts). The first few weeks of slowly burning out goes unnoticed so you’ve actually been overdoing it for longer than you think. So catching all that back up will take a fair while.
You may want to ‘get stuck in again’ when you feel better. And that is a good attitude to have, but don’t jump in when you feel good *enough*. Get your energy back. Let your mental health recovery. Get to a point where you feel genuinely great and can sustain that, then consider stretch roles again etc. otherwise you basically just bump along the bottom and never really recover.

You have PTO for a reason, take it and disconnect entirely. No “oh well I’ll just check this one email”, no close your stuff and don’t look at it.
