I've been getting them since I was 27, usually every 4-6 weeks, and I'm 42 now with no wrinkles. Sunscreen daily and genes help with that, of course, but I credit a lot to regular microderm or hydrafacials.
I think of them in the same category as massage — relaxing and good for mental health, part of my self care routine :)
In addition to the self care piece, what makes them worth it IMO is having an esthetician get to know your skin and be able to make recommendations for your at-home routine, too. They can help you understand what products to use at home in between facials to help with anti-aging, preventing breakouts, etc.
I’d recommend booking a standard facial and talking to your esthetician about what other facials or treatments they recommend based on your unique skin care goals and wants!
Looking fabulous is worth it!
I started getting a deep cleansing facial every other month and my skin looks so lovely all the time. Expensive $(140, I live in Miami) but so worth it

Not a fan. Just don’t find it relaxing. And I have great skin i take very good care of so I don’t see the benefits for me, personal.
I say go for it if you would benefit and enjoy them.
I work in a spa unless you have really bad acne issues or something, you should see a dermatologist at that point instead. But yes starting out they are extremely beneficial as a maintenance to your own skincare routine or until you build a regimen for one. They try to convince you to go often as monthly or less… depending on your skin type/issues. But once you learn how to do it yourself you will be great to go. I personally recommend it as a treat after that. Massages & natural nail services too. The only skin care brand I use is Eminence Organic
