People who wake up at 4/5 am, what’s your typical day like? I’ve been doing that for a couple of months and am exhausted by 4 pm and in bed by 8/9. Am I just not a morning person? How does your energy levels fluctuate through the day?

Edit: is there any way I could stay productive upto 10 pm? Anything that has worked for you?

Assuming you mean 8/9 pm, this would be a normal, 8-hour sleeping schedule for someone up at 4/5

My job is usually just 8-10 hours, but I’ve a couple of other stuff going on as well till the end of this year unfortunately and the emotional exhaustion is killing me. :(

Alarm at 5:30. coffee. walk the dog. maybe a bar.
Gym 6:30-8.
Home by 8ish. Shower. breakfast. quick 2nd walk for the dog [he needs a lot of exercise].
8:45ish, log on for first call at 9.
work until about 6. walk the dog.
dinner. tv/netflix
unwind around 9:30 for lights off by 10.


I wake up at 4:30 am most days. Work out from 5-7 am and take my kids to school by 8:30 am. Work from 8:30-5:30 ish and usually in bed by 9 pm. It can be tiring, but it’s the only way I can get a solid workout in, etc.

What I do everyday:

Up at 4:30-4:40
Pre workout snack and coffee- 4:45-4:50
Workout from 5-6:30
Clean up/dishes/ feed the cat 6:30-7
Shower at 7
Eat breakfast and clock in at 8
Snack at 10/11
Lunch by 12:30/1
Clock out and have a snack at 3:30/4
Dinner at 5:30/6
Downtime 7-8:30
Prep for next day 8:30-9
In bed going to sleep by 9:15

Eating every two to three hours really helps keep my energy levels stable throughout the day, my snacks are usually things like green yogurt w/berries or a protein shake

Me as a person still suck. Lol

Here are some tricks I use:
Going to bed early helps.
I keep the blinds open on one of my windows so I naturally wake up with the sun atleast.
I keep a mug warmer on my night stand and drink warm water once I wake up.
I increase the heating in my room when I don’t have the motivation to get out of bed.
Sometimes it takes me upto an hour to get out of bed though. :(

There’s nothing wrong with being a night owl if you can make it work for you. Good luck!


Assuming you mean 8/9am, pay attention to what you’re doing/eating in those first few hours, as that matters a lot. Complex carbs in the morning help me stay energetic longer. and I do some cardio help me start my day.

Are you getting enough sleep as well? If you meant you get tired by 8/9 pm that’s normal, please sleep 😂

I also take vitamin D supplements!


What do you usually have in those first few hours?

I sleep around 6 hours as per my Fitbit. I’m in bed by 9, but I guess my sleep quality is not that great which makes me extra exhausted and affects my focus through the day.

Already taking vitamin D supplements too!

I get up at 5:30 to workout like others here. I’m just too tired at the end of the work day. I don’t have kids, its just best for me. I go to bed by ten at the latest

Why has real estate remained lucrative?

Those of you who lift: do you ever take breaks (beyond the usual 1-4 rest days per week built into your program)? How often, and for how long? I’ve been finding myself taking an entire week off every couple of months and wonder how much it’s setting me back.
