It’s dependent on age. Infants are more expensive. 6 month old $2500. Supposed to go up in January
$2,100 / month for full-time; open from 7:30 - 6, provides everything (e.g., food, wipes, snacks, etc.) except diapers
$2660/mo for pre-k and 2 y/o
Just putting second one (6 months) in - $2,100/month
😭
$2100 for full time care of a one year old in Chicago
$2300/month nanny for 2
$3,200/month, consisting of $1,800 for an infant and $1,400 for a preschooler. This includes a significant employer discount. Otherwise, rates in the city are easily over $2,000/month/child for 5 days/week. Hours are 6:30-6, and for kids who eat solid foods, they provide breakfast, lunch, and a snack every day. It's a great, happy place, but once you have more than one child, a nanny can be a much better option both financially and also for convenience/flexibility since you're not dealing with pickups and drop-offs, and infants CONSTANTLY getting sick/getting you sick.
Not all options are equal and it doesn’t make sense to benchmark purely on the cost. Our daycare is open 7-6 while others we looked at had much shorter hours and therefore not an option for us. Also some include diapers, wipes, food, etc. Ours is $2900/month in Lincoln Park
Oof
