I got my year end review and need “another 6 months of consistency” to get promoted. I know my bonus is lower than the median for my pay band. Should I ask for a pay raise / larger bonus or just wait for promotion in 6 months so I don’t rock the boat?

Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about.
