I should definitely add “NONE OF US ARE DOCTORS” though - you can and should always seek the help of a healthcare professional if you feel it’s debilitating. Mine is only a couple nights a month. But if yours is longer or worse, that kind of shit can drive you literally insane. 💛
Vitex/chastetree berry, calcium, magnesium, and vitamin d have gone a LONG way for me. Radically reduced PMS/PMDD symptoms, including insomnia. And I second Starcom1’s suggestion to use it as a cue to slow down for a few days.

Honestly? I just have to drink a shit ton of caffeine the next day to compensate. I used to use wine the way AD,DI suggested, but routinely using alcohol to help me fall asleep (and cope with stress and anxiety) led to a bad few years and now I’ve been sober for 14 months. Insomnia sucks and period insomnia (to me) has been the worst kind. Just hang in there. Know you’re not alone. It’s only a couple nights a month. You’ve got this.

Olly Sleep. Regular melatonin doesn’t do much for me, but something about the combination with L-theanine in it does the trick. Plus being careful with caffeine after noon, especially things like Midol or Excedrine that seem to take longer to metabolize.
