If the company doesn't want to pay for your phone, tell them that they can't contact you on your cell. It's really quite simple, if they want to contact you on your cell during business hours and for business purposes, then they need to pay for it. Just tell them that you don't have an unlimited minutes plan and you won't be taking business calls on your personal line.
What office(s)?
What phone is it? There are an abundance of quality unlocked cell phones like the Moro G series.
I have an iPhone 5s/T-Mobile. Firm doesn't pay for any of my phone bill but I'm expected to be reachable via cell if needed. Thinking about going to firm and saying I need to request a work phone but don't know how to explain (if I say I need a new phone they'll say "so get a new one.." right?). I don't know..
You can't afford a phone?
I can, but was going to wait until mine is paid off in May. I don't know that it will last until May
Just get a cheap unlocked flip phone until then
$50 and you can text and call
GT pays $50 a month if you aren't provided a phone.
Not for me! Any advice on who I could reach out to for this?
Your office might be stricter? So no promises... But I chromeriver a My GT Expense expense (technology > cell phone monthly fees) and include page one of the bill. Only time I got kicked back was when I entered less than $50 and the admin said to do $50.
Nice! Thanks. I'll reach out to the person I contact for expenses and confirm before I do this :)
Me?
A1 first off but OP as well if it goes through, thanks!
Can confirm 50$. Its a firmwide policy on ksource (read travel and exp policy)
