Anyone having any luck in breaking leases “BEFORE” move in date at University/On Campus condo housing in Arizona? If common areas won’t be open in building and the University does not open campus physically, any precedent?

Currently only reason in AZ that is close: The Rental Unit Is Unsafe or Violates Arizona Health or Safety Codes / Current statute: Arizona law (Ariz. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 33-1363 to -1365)

Would this include not abiding by state mandated Covid public space rules to open?

Boutique transactional practice. Firm is growing post-COVID. Things are at risk of falling through the cracks. I need an easy way to track matters for status reports with colleagues in the firm without remaking the wheel.

Currently using Clio, which has its limitations for this purpose. I know colleagues that just use an excel spreadsheet.

Suggestions?

I’ve been tasked with vetting American Sign Language Interpretation Services for ‘in-person’ visits for my company. We have a service that meets our virtual appt needs, but not in-person.

Since state laws regarding in-person ASL interpretation vary from state to state, please share your state if you have a recommendation. I am in Pennsylvania.

Thank you!

Has anyone negotiated pay at a hospital or company that states they have different levels/tiers of fixed pay for so-and-so profession and can’t budge? I’ve worked in other fields prior to healthcare and have a hard time believing every (pick profession like PT) gets paid exactly (pick random number like $72,345). I’m skeptical because it sounds like “we have levels/tiers of fixed pay and can’t budge” is just an excuse to shut down negotiation right away. Can anyone share their experience?

How does your office handle late patients when it's weather/road related? We had a patient show up 10 minutes late and threw a hissy fit because he had driven 40 miles on snowy roads to get there. And I felt bad, but we legitimately could not squeeze him in.

I'm a nurse manager for a large hospital with 10 YOE in nursing, but I'm starting to second guess my decision to go into leadership. Has anyone else left nurse management and pivoted to NP? I'm not crazy about the idea of going back to school for a third degree, but at the same time I'm turning 55 and I'm ready to leave the high-stress hospital setting for a nice small outpatient office. I'm considering focusing on Psychiatry. Thoughts?
