I've made it to the case interview stage with Accenture Strategy Middle East for tech strategy. Does anyone have experience or insight with what to expect? I.e. is it likely to be more high level strategy case (market segmentation, P&L, M&A etc) or along the lines of tech cases (implementation, roadmapping, tech alignment to business)?
Can someone help me with interview questions for tax position at Salesforce? Do they ask tax technical questions or it’s just behavioral/ situational?Salesforce
Hi All, I worked for 4 months at some agency as a full time, due to personal reasons I had to leave that job. After a month I joined another agency where I’m currently working/furloughed. In resume I do not mention that job where I worked for 4 months due to obvious reasons. Can any new potential employer find out that 4months I hid and covered under previous employment? Please advise, I’m scared as I’m not getting any offers despite interviewed at several organizations.
Most bullshit case study that won big at Cannes?
For those of you who are successful in your interview process and landed on an offer, did you feel like you ace every question they asked in in the interview and articulate perfectly? I’m a bit nervous now Bc I felt like I could have spoken better 😭😭😭😭
Job apps have terms at end which includes fact that they can reach out to all listed employers. Should I reach out and check that they will not talk to current supervisor, or rather forego applying?

Senior level execs looking for new hires: What do want? Someone w/ awards, someone who can challenge you in an interview, or has shown client growth? Experience that is part of what you need?
Interviewing from T2 to MBB, experienced hire. Anyone knows how much more difficult the interviews would be compared to entry-level interviews?
Applying for a manager role in advisory at Grant Thornton in a HCOL, 10 YOE. What should total comp look like? Additionally, does Grant Thornton offer relocation bonuses? And if so, how much?
Hey McKinsey Fish! Is there any real luck of applying to a job on the website? I applied to an implementation role that I know I would be qualified for but without any referral. Been a few weeks so was just hoping to atleast see a rejection 😁

Can you wear business casual to an interview
What's going on with Facebook privacy practice hiring? A recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn. Has anyone here spoken to a recruiter yet? Or going through interview, TC conversations? Any insights will help!
I haven’t received any marketing emails from Tuck after I applied and interviewed. Anyone else experiencing this? Hoping this isn’t a bad sign
What practices does Slalom have? Seen a lot of post on here for people that are interviewing and just got hit up by a recruiter. Sound like they are doing pretty well! Any Corp Fin or M&A work?
Anyone know what Weil’s average hours are like given that they don’t have billable requirements? A lot of people say big law comparable but I know some people in big law shooting for 2000 and some shooting for 2600 and those are two very different worlds. Was considering applying to a role there but wanted to get a feel for what this really equates to.
Anyone laid off from Deloitte been getting interviews? (Not for tech roles but more finance) im getting traction from head hunters but not much from firm website applications
Who’s leaving PwC? Raise yoooo haaaandddd 🤚
I just went to the bathroom in the United club lounge before heading to my gate. There was a lady at the sink completely topless boobs all out all over the place and I think she was trying to take a half sponge bath in the sink, like taking wet paper towels and wiping her arm pits. Also no mask on. This is weird, right?
Hi, this is my first time asking for a raise. As an asian woman, im not used to asking since i was always thaught i have to earn/prove it to receive it eventually. But it been almost 3 years and this pandemic is staining me financially. Any tips before i book an appointment?
Company hired a partner for me without letting me interview them and this person is a total hack. Can't concept at all and isn't knowledgeable about any work out there. What to do?
Interviewing for a great position in industry (tech). They have equity comp & great benefits. Spoke to their HR, then interviewed with 2 people in the tax department and am getting scheduled for a next round of interviews. The only problem is: the office is about 1 hr from my house (I own). They said repeatedly that they want someone who will be in the office 5 days a week. I would actually move but can’t rent out my place now due to some repairs going on that will take 4-5 months. Thoughts?
“Per diem” meal expenses are EXPLOITATION. $50 is not enough for a single meal at a hotel restaurant, let alone an entire DAY for food. Shifting travel costs onto your employees = evil. Yes i mad :<
for scenarios like covid, if a consulting firm is cutting down cost, would the better approach be to cut down the cost from supporting / enabling function first and then consulting core staff or the other way around?
I think the stock market is going to crash any day. Should I have my 401k and index funds moved from high risk to low risk allocations or should I just ride the crash and not time the market?
@ Current accounting professionals in the Big 4, do you regret going the accounting route? If so, what do you wish you would have done differently? I did my tax internship at a Big 4 recently but I realized I’m not really passionate about the work. But people have told me to stick with it because the experience you get translates well to other areas of business. So the decision I have to make now is either pivot to finance/something else or stick with Tax and regret it for the next X years.
Is this the week I get laid off?
I’m struggling to see the value of a MBA as a consultant. If you come back to consulting, you lose career progression. You can’t really go to PE/VC from MBA with a consulting background only. A MBA will not help you get any job in tech any more than your consulting experience would. Same with industry jobs. What’s the value other than a free 2 year party/networking session assuming you return to your firm?
I'm a new hire and have no idea what to wear for the office holiday party. Any (serious) thoughts?
Pregnant and in first trim with severe nausea. Was put on a team that is super understaffed and have hard deadlines like every week as the client is going through diff transactions. Partner says I can log off whenever I need but Sr manage keeps pushing work to my plate and asking why work is not finished. How could I deal with the situation? Should I just tell partner I need to roll off the team?
Any recommendations for drumming lessons in NYC?
I have a dilemma: If you had 2.5 years as a recruiter, mixture of agency and corporate, what which opportunity would you choose? Option 1: RPO for a major corporate chain. (Light labor, service industry) Title is senior recruiter -65k a year but is onsite 4 days a week Option 2: inhouse with a growing software educational company in tech. 70k a year as a talent acquisition specialist. Perm remote Option 3: 5 month temp opportunity with the municipal government - remote at 82-90k
Must have had a bad oyster... Puked three times during a major client meeting (in bathroom). Amazing how in consulting it just isn't acceptable to be 'sick' save loss of an arm or death by explosion.
Hi Tax Bowlers, I'm an experienced associate (2yrs) in a Big 4 Transfer Pricing division. I have reached a point in my career where I am considering taking up a professional certification. Several colleagues recommended taking up either ACCA or CFA, however, I see little connection between these certifications and the work that I am currently doing, and what I plan to do in the future. What would you guys suggest? Would it be detrimental to my career if I did not take up any certifications?
