Phone systems: what do you guys use - landline/voip? I thought a land line would be best, so I used AT&T and pay $230/mn for fax and two lines. Service seems bad with AT&T.

Vonage for about $40 a month with an efax by Nextiva for $10 a month. I also have the Vonage ap on my phone, so I can be out of the office, but clients won’t know.

I use 3CX with a SIP phone provider. It is a VOIP system that work in a cloud or can work in house. I use it in the cloud. There is an initial upfront cost. But it cut my phone bill to more than 1/2 and it paid for itself in 7 months. Just for the phone like I pay $1.25 per phone number (not per line) I have 5 phone numbers. Each outgoing call is 1.2 cents per minute and incoming is less than a penny a minute (.0092 cents). I compared going paying per minute versus unlimited. I did a side by side comparison of the average monthly minutes and was surprised that unlimited costs way a lot more as on unlimited that you need to pay based on per line or how many simultaneously people will be on the phone and incoming calls. I also pay a fee of $25 per month to host the system in a cloud. Can host onsite, to save $$$$ as long as you have a good IT that can respond should there ever be an issue. Me I just rather have it offsite
